Take a Picture, It'll Last Longer
Jem slipped on his crisp white dress shirt and buttoned it up, before tying his tie carefully, making sure it was straight and even. He was all set for the orchestra tonight. he paused in front of the mirror to make sure everything was in order.
Walking by his bed, where his violin and sheet music were scatted across the sheets, he picked up his phone and snapped a quick photo of himself grinning in his formal attire and posted it on Instagram.
{asteadyflame: Getting ready for the orchestra tonight! Wish me luck!}
Glancing at his watch, he quickly tidied up his music, packed up his violin and was out the door not even five minutes after he'd put up the picture.
//AH! Something came up again today. I'll be on most of the day tomorrow, I'm sorry! I miss you all!
The Flower Shop
Jem pushed open the Institute doors and stepped outside, shuddering slightly as a cool breeze blew through the courtyard.
He had no Shadowhunter duties to attend to, nor was there a hunt planned for that night so he took the opportunity to spend the day out. Charlotte had given him permission though she preferred if Jem were back before dark.
Making sure he hadn't forgotten anything-his cane, money, jacket- Jem walked down the steps to the front gate and let himself out, locking the entrance behind him.
He leaned on the iron bars to await a certain warlock.
{Hyde Park}
Jem stepped out of the Institute on the streets of London just as a cloud drifted in front of the moon, casting a shadow over the dark shops. Only a few people lingered on the streets.
Only the light tap of his cane and the occasional murmurings of mundanes disturbed his quiet stroll towards the park. He briefly wondered if the strange man-no, Ronan- would be there like he had said, but quickly pushed the thought aside. Even if the man didn't show up, it was a clear night, and Jem was just happy to be outside.
As he passed under the park gates, Jem's eyes landed on a wooden park bench and he made his way towards it. With a sigh, he sat down and tilted his head back to gaze at the stars overhead.
