Does One Way or Another by Caitlin Schneiderham count? cause that feels like a fanfiction sometimes hehehehehe

Number 1 I gotta advertise one of my most favorite Stranger Things fics like ever

top secret (everybody knows) by ibrakeforrainbows (who's actually here on tumblr and is the only one of the authors i mention that I know is on here lol) which is a christmas fic that's equally byler and ronance and it's basically just Mike and Nancy both wanting to come out to each other and it's really well written and the characterization is done really well

Cue The Music by Pitkin is also really good and well written, it's not completed but it's like 40 chapters long so far so it'll be some good food :)

One i'm really enjoying so far is Lessons of Chemisty by cxgarettesaftersex. It actually got completed just recently? But I'm currently working through reading it. It's a slowburn (I love slowburns hehe) and the author made a spotify/apple music playlist for it as well which is really good.

Eddie helping Nancy get a date with Robin and Nancy helping Eddie get a date with Steve is a dynamic that I truly miss. Bonding over their mutual ‘hopeless’ crushes 😩

It was always SO GOOD but I feel like I haven’t read a new fanfic with this premise in AGES. I feel like it was super popular back in like 2022/23 when Fruity Four Ronance + Steddie fics were still crazyyy popular.

I miss Nancy and Eddie’s bestfriendism :(

“Did we just get grounded?”

“Oh, definitely.” Steve nodded, brows furrowed seriously. “Home past curfew? Out drinking? No call, didn’t ask permission? Definitely grounded.”

Eddie barked out a laugh. Steve shoved his hands in his pockets, leaning against his dresser. His eyes flittered around the room, searching for a distraction. Something to fill the silence, some way to draw his attention away from Eddie, drinking in this sight. Eddie, in his bedroom, that blinding smile of his painted on his face, just looking at Steve.

“Well, uh--” Steve started. He rubbed his neck. “I was going to suggest we watch a movie or something. But I don’t think Robin would like that. So maybe we could-- Uh, I guess there’s--”

“Got cards?”

“What?”

“A deck of cards,” Eddie repeated. “Got one? I’ll whoop your ass in gin rummy.”

Steve bounced his eyebrows.

“Is that so?”

“Beating you at bowling wasn’t enough, obviously--”

“Jesus, dude, you so didn’t beat me,” Steve laughed. He pushed off his dresser and began rummaging in the elusive box of ‘junk and stuff’ which was still half unpacked in the corner of his bedroom. “When I say this I’m not exaggerating, you literally humiliated us both--”

“I enlightened the entire alley with my wicked skills--”

“--and honestly I’m pretty offended you bold faced lied about--”

“I didn’t lie!”

Okay so, imagine this: you saved the world from interdimensional monsters, and then move into an apartment with your best friend. The catch? It's always being occupied by you guys, and exactly two other people. That's Steve's life in this fic. Saves the world, moves in with Robin, bonds with Nancy and Eddie, and gets the- *record scratches, major squinting* ah yes. He gets the boy, Robin gets the girl. It's a double feature Steddie and Ronance fic!

Tags to be cautious of is canon typical, recreational drug usage, underage drinking and sneaking around of said drinks, drinking and driving, and slight suicidal thoughts. Oh, and some smut. Can't forget about that.

We can navigate a little snow.” “Maybe you can but need I remind you that I only got my license this past summer?” “Relax, Robbie. Nothing’s going to happen to us.” Robin stares her down, eyes narrowing. After some tense silence, Robin says, “Promise me we’ll stop if it gets bad.” Nancy nods, noncommittally.  Robin lifts her hand and sticks her pinky out. Nancy rolls her eyes and scoffs.  “Promise me,” Robin repeats. “Say ‘I promise Robin.’” Nancy hooks her pinky with Robin and says, a little mockingly, “I promise Robin.”

or: driving home for winter break, nancy does everything in her power to keep them from staying the night somewhere. until a big snow storm ruins those plans and threatens to uncover what nancy's been keeping from robin for months.

The question: what major is Robin in at Smith?

KEEP IN MIND! She name drops Gloria Steinem, implying she has read her in a class—Steinem is a prominent second wave feminist, activist, and journalist, also Smith alum.

*I am only choosing majors I feel I have a competent level of info in for writing a character studying that subject lol...aka, I wouldn't know where to begin writing a music or sciences major. Also these may or may not have existed in 1989, but I'm going with the list below.
