so it looks like Bart having a show-stealing role in Dick's arc might actually be a thing
i hope the next couple episodes deliver because it pretty sure bart’s voice actor wasn’t even commissioned for the last two episodes, because he’s one of the most talkative characters in the show but he didn’t say a single word 😭😭😭😭
we got to see Tye and Asami again briefly ... smiling and happy ... they're EVERYTHING to me. also Tye and Jaime were in the same frame again for the first time since season 2 and were clearly hanging out like the best friends they are. that like four second frame of all of them + plus Traci + Tye's mom and grandpa at the circus gave me an instant hit of serotonin
LITERALLY SO HAPPY because that means tye and jaime are still best friends and they’re both close to asami. also they’re all chill enough to hang with jaime’s family…sobbing crying…i’m inconsolable. let’s just hope we actually get to see them speak in the (possible) next season.
honestly the jumping around in time in the lor-zod subplot really fucked with the ep's pacing imo. seeing raquel visibly mad at orion's comment about what is and isn't "of import" in the conference room and then having to wait MULTIPLE MINUTES to hear what she was gonna say only for her to get caught off mid-sentence by plot?? by fucking METRON of all characters?? bad. don't like it
i completely agree, the jumping around made the episode very hard to follow. the whole episode had like no raquel but decided to focus on lor-zod and his dumbass team for so long….LIKE WE DO NOT CARE. raquel barely got any time to speak but they did manage time enough to write in a joke about kilowog taking a shit….like….priorities? and mayb if they spent more time double-checking the script instead of writing unfunny jokes about shit or garfield’s “hot” relationship, they would’ve fixed the part where rocket misgenders halo.
both zatanna’s arc and raquel’s arc have given so little in the way of character development for their protagonists but so much in the (unwanted) lore development of their dumb villains. and the arcs that do place the character’s growth at the forefront of the plot either have an insane amount of telling instead of showing paired with a lame storyline that has nothing to do with the protagonist personally (kaldur) or have no coherent and intriguing storyline with a satisfying ending (artemis). and i say all this as someone who was very optimistic about this season.
the cosmic treadmill is such a smart alternative to rebuilding the destroyed time-sphere. like besides the fact Bio-Ship can time travel now, which is sweet as hell, it also means no one can just steal her and go hopping through time. the treadmill presumably needs a speedster to work AT ALL, and probably only one that can run at Barry and Bart levels of speed. it's basically thief-proof, which i imagine the Legion would appreciate after Lor-Zod up and stole a time-sphere no prob
bio-ship the time machine what an upgrade <3 but don’t krytonians like dru-zod and lor-zod have all their powers under a yellow son? that would include super speed, meaning it would be possible for it to be stolen by like…an evil speedster OR an evil kryptonian like lor-zod. kryptonians aren’t AS fast as barry/wally/bart but they’re pretty close and could probably get the treadmill working. but honestly i doubt any of this will get that complex…i don’t think grandon are going that route….
thought you'd like to know that bart was making a chemistry joke when he called himself a "free radical" which i thought was delightful. it's also pretty accurate considering what free radicals are and how they work. that boy finished building a cosmic treadmill and then made a chemistry joke within the first minute of the episode what a fucking nerd. i love him

thinking about the fact bart going off with the legionnaires means hes potentially gonna be disappearing with no warning on his friends and family for a while
thinking about how they’ll probably not show him telling his friends and family that he’s leaving onscreen because grandon despises us and we’ll never get the bart content we deserve. </3
