The alarm goes off most days at 6.00am, but I'm usually already awake before then anyway. Morning start with a cup of tea in bed, making sense of my itinerary for the day, checking emails etc before I get dressed and either get in the car or train to work. Whilst I still wake up at a similar time on the weekend I usually spend a lot longer sitting in bed but yesterday I got up early and started painting. This usually happens when there is a painting on the go. I love the silence in the morning, when no one else is up. I've been going through my large stock of work and finding so many paintings that are not very good, or ones which need a bit more attention. When I was working my way through all the sitters from #paoty I would be so concerned to get them done in one go, I would miss some of the finer details, or not go back and adjust the colour balance. So I pulled out a number of these and gave them a touch up. I was also able to completely over paint some older paintings with new ones.
