Enid is as happy as she could be, given how her life is going.

Most days she feels listless, like she's floating everywhere she walks, waiting for another wave to crash into her and change the direction she's drifting. –But this day is a good day.

Not perfect, but good.

Ron is in a better mood because his entire family is sitting out in their yard, enjoying the nice breeze that rolled in a few hours ago. Pete hasn’t looked in his direction once today, and she knows the boy is basking in every moment of freedom he has from him.

Denise is sitting on her porch with a textbook in hand, but every time someone passes, she looks up and half-heartedly scolds them for distracting her from her studies. She’s been really stressed lately, but Enid knows that’s unavoidable when becoming a doctor. –She used to want to become one herself, afterall.

And Olivia decided she would be making apple crisp with some of the less pretty apples from the farm, hoping to have dinner with the two of you.

Enid’s not stupid. She knows part of the reason why Olivia is trying so hard to keep you from going back to your house is because she doesn’t want you to have to sit alone in your grief where there’s probably signs of your sister’s relatively short existence everywhere. –And Enid agrees. You don’t handle your emotions very well. It’s not like Ron where everything builds up and explodes in short increments, no, it’s much sadder. You let it build up for a long time, you hide, and then you implode. Over and over, and then over again, with no end in sight.

Only issue with Olivia’s plan is, one of her beautiful little girls is missing.

Everyone knows where you went.

Out on a run, with your parents –a suspicious amount of supplies on your backs– and nobody stopped the three of you. Nobody dared. But Enid knows you better, if you were going to leave Alexandria with your family you would have told her. As childish as it sounded to her own ears at the time, you made her pinky promise that you wouldn’t have any secrets between you.

That’s why it doesn’t make any sense when she tails you and your family, and sees the youngest fourth member, walking alongside you with her hand in yours…

Imagine rarlnid buying an apartment together

•when they’re first moving in and unpacking everything they get too tired and ended up laying down pillows and blankets on the floor and falling asleep on them

•them trying to convince their friends (Sophia, Lydia, Mikey, etc) to buy apartments in the same building as theirs

•they always have packs of caffeinated drinks in their fridge bc enid can’t get enough of her redbull and carl loves soda

•ron drinks coffee bc he thinks cold caffeinated drinks are gross (he will only drink iced coffee for the aesthetic)

•they buy a huge bed so they can all cuddle together

•sometimes they just end up falling asleep on their couch because that’s where they do movie/tv marathons

•them feeling comfortable enough with each other to walk around in their underwear (enid is super chill when she sees her boys in their underwear, ron just being all ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), and carl gets all flustered)

•their neighbours complaining about the various loud noises coming from their apartment (( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°))

•one tries to make breakfast for the other two (but fails miserably)

•in the winter time they all snuggle together in their bed

•in the summer enid will not let anyone touch her, including her boys, because she hates the heat but the boys just wanna cuddle 

•they scream to get their baes attention when they aren’t in the same room

•they act like it’s a sleepover every night and they tell ghost stories

•ron is the best ghost story teller and after his stories enid and carl refuse to go to the bathroom or anywhere else alone 

 •maggie and michonne calling them and being worried mothers
