Hello and welcome to Aurum's personal favorite playground. I have delighted in "Gansey, boy-forest-boy" since finishing TRK, and not even the dreamer trilogy has distracted me from that. I also leaned into the time between the end of the book and the epilogue to portray that maybe Gansey was not okay when he first came back. (A pattern folks will now see me mess with after Greyewaren.) Yeah, this is a whole lot. Eldritch fae and forest king, your ship can't even.

Trying to just jump into this ask instead of rambling a ton lol. Will say I scrolled through the blog and went back to the first as I sent to you. It was in 2020. Does feel like I’ve known you forever and also not very long at all. ♥️ I am sorry if I’m a little a rusty, I have not written smut that’s seen other peoples eyes in…. A while.

I love the thought of Gansey not being able to keep his hands off of Ronan’s skin, his hands always on Ronan’s sides or pressing to the dimples at the base of his spine. Thinking of a scenario where that’s all that Gansey does, drags his hands over Ronan’s skin like he’s a masterpiece, his fingers finding ever book and cranny, ever place that makes Ronan twitch, makes his head fall back against the bed. In this one Ronan isn’t tied up, in fact that’s part of it, Gansey has asked him to keep as still as he possibly can.

That’s all I’ve got for now, but I probably will be back, I can feel the cogs turning on a box that’s a little dusty lol.

I'm so delighted to receive this post because it's so lovely, Ronsey Anon.

I'm zeroing in on the second part of what you sent first because it's kind of my jam. Gansey using That Voice on Ronan, telling him to keep as still as possible while he's touching him. Ronan doing his absolute best to comply, but still unable to keep his fingers from clenching in the sheets or pillows, depending on where Gansey's instructed him to keep his hands. His breathing is staggered so his sides tremble and shudder under Gansey's touch. Ronan always strikes me as the type of person perpetually torn between wanting to revel in the worship of it all, but also incredibly greedy for more, more, more.

In the meantime, Gansey is constantly in awe of Ronan being his, after all they've been through, all they are to one another. Here is this incredible creature laid out before him, all pale skin, scars and ink. No matter how much time Gansey spends traveling every inch of him with his fingertips, he marvels at new things, delights in familiar dips and curves, and never gets tired of the sighing and sounds Ronan makes when he does. Their insomnia is battled by hours of this gentle but intense play, Gansey always seeing to their pleasure when he knows they're tired, then touching him still as they curl up to sleep.

I also have not written on this blog (or notsfw in general) for a while, but this also got my gears turning, so thank you for sending this in! I can't believe it's already been that long, but it also feels like the blink of an eye. Wishing you a lovely day, Ronsey Anon!

Ronsey thought of the week:

Sometimes Ronan finds Gansey’s glasses in the weirdest places. One time he found them hanging in the shower, from the shower head.

Sometimes he just takes them straight to Gansey, but other times, when they are not under a time constraint usually, he won’t. Usually Gansey won’t notice he put them somewhere weird until he has one contact out. He’ll ask Ronan if he’s seen them, and that is usually when Ronan bargains that if he gets x amount of kisses he’ll bring Gansey his glasses. After Ronan brings Gansey his glasses, and gray his kisses, he’ll tell Gansey where he left them.

Ronsey Anon, I love you and I'm glad you're doing better. I have been coveting your message to me closely.

About glasses in weird places, I'd like to confess I have a glasses story from my youth. Sometime when I was a wee Aururm, I hung my glasses from one of the supports of my little canopy bed and completely forgot I'd done it. I woke up the next morning, and I was SO BLIND without my glasses...I'd forgotten I'd put them there, and I couldn't find them anywhere. My mom called me out of school so we could go get replacement glasses that day. And later, when I was reading in bed with my new glasses, I could actually SEE the old glasses I'd hung from my bed. In other words, I can't find my glasses unless I have my glasses, and I'm sympathetic to Gansey leaving them in clever places like the shower.

I adore Ronan holding them for ransom until such time that Gansey really needs them. And then he trades kisses for information on how to find them.

Thank you for this gift, Ronsey Anon. I just want Ronsey to have all the kisses.

Hello, Ronsey Anon! As I was scrolling through my dash, I was also thinking 'I hope Ronsey Anon is well' and here you are! I was stupidly happy to come home and have my own coffee in my own kitchen. There will be some catching up on sleep, as the hotel bed did its best and still my back protests.

I give to you my Ronsey thought of the weekend, which is Gansey coming home from a trip he had to take for whatever work he's doing. He stands in the driveway, breathing in the smell of all the trees around the Barns, not noticing that Ronan's been waiting expectantly on the porch with a cup of something warm for him. It's Chainsaw cawing her name for Gansey that gets him out of his reverie, and suddenly he doesn't know how he got to the porch or how he's managed to bear hug Ronan without spilling whatever is in the mug. Ronan grumbles against his ear, which is his way of saying he missed Gansey. It's always better when he's home.

Hi Aurum. Sorry I’ve accidentally ghosted you, I’ve basically been in survival mode. A lots been going on, very stressful things, but I’m not gonna dump on you. I hope you are well, I hope you get to see some pretty clouds and listen to some good music, and sleep warm and well.

I’m leaving you with some rodansey thoughts, wow it’s been a little while.

I’ve been really thinking about them walking through lindenmere. A lot about Gansey stepping over a long that Ronan and Adam have already walked over, and Adam holding out his hand to help Gansey up and over, and it’s very new in their relationship, so Gansey hesitates for a second, but he takes Adam’s hand and when he does, Adam doesn’t let go for the rest of their walk. Ronan smiling softly to himself, and showing them new things. When they pause, Adam wraps his arm around Ronan’s waist, and he leans into him. Just. Soft walks through a magic forest.

I have this headcanon that Gansey grows his hair out for awhile, not too long, a bit passed chin length, but Ronan and Adam start wearing hair ties on their wrists, and if he gets frustrated and starts blowing it out of his face they get to the point that they don’t even look up as they take it off their wrist and hand it too him.

Half of their relationship consists of two of them teaming up to make the other laugh.

Gansey will randomly come up to Ronan and Adam and hand them cool rocks he has found. They sit in rows in the windowsills in the livingroom and kitchen. They can’t bare to get ride of any of them.

Hello, Ronsey Anon, it is so good to see you! Never worry about "ghosting" - life has been the realest lately, and it shows little sign of slowing down. There's also no such thing as dumping on me either. Like this post!! You just combined two of my favorite things - Rodansey and Lindenmere. I have so much love for Ronan's dreamt forests, and nothing makes me happier than the boys existing in that space, feeling the magic and making magic with each other. Also, Gansey getting unruly wavy dark hair that needs hair ties? [clutches my pearls] I want to hang out in this set of imagery for a while... sun-warmed afternoons in Lindenmere, exploring or picnicking, collecting things to bring home to the Barns. Sometimes, they know that they've only been in there for an afternoon, but the time shifts so it can feel like a whole day, drawing out the time they can spend away from the real world. This they know is something that really brings Ronan peace and soothes the wild ache in Gansey's chest for magic and trees, and Adam feels connected and whole with them and the forest.

Hi! I hope your weekend goes well! If you need to rant feel free to use this ask as a rant spot. About anything you want/need to rant about; stepped in gum, had a coffee order messed up, someone stole your parking spot, rant away if you need to!

Ronsey thought of the week:

They have specific mugs that have their morning drinks out of. They sit side by side in the kitchen cabinet cause whoever gets up first and makes their morning drinks grabs them both and it’s easier that way (no other reason. Not like seeing their morning mugs right next to each other makes Gansey smile all silly like. Nope not at all why they are in that spot). I love the thought of the mugs either being blue speckled enamelware or just random ones from a thrift store when they went with everyone? Ronans would say something like ‘best grandpa in the west’ with a cowboy hat and Gansey’s would be ‘boat shit crazy’ with a little tug boat on it. Blue definitely picked them out.

Hello hello! I appreciate you and the rant space! I have to say that I'm doing really well today (finally) but I will use this for a little bit of letting off some pressure.

I've spent the last two weeks away from home. It was for a really good cause, and I don't regret doing it. But we left on 1/2 and didn't get back until the night of 1/15. We basically put 95% of our lives on hold 800 miles away from home, where the other 5% was mostly work, since I didn't take any time off. I'm not ashamed to say it was hard. I didn't journal in the morning, I got maybe a sum total of 1 hour to myself (when I wasn't working), I did a ton of driving, and ate far too much takeout.

Upon returning, I spent almost all of yesterday excitedly proclaiming "my ___!" about everything that I'd missed. Bed, shower, kitchen, refrigerator, alarm clock, you name it. I also didn't write, I couldn't sew, it was just. Me existing on other people's time. Again, people I LOVE and wanted to help. But fuck, man. I'm happy to not go anywhere until vacation time.

I. Am. So. Glad. To. Be. Home.

That being said, let's talk about morning mugs! This is one of my favorite domestic bliss things. (Not at ALL because my wife and I have specific morning mugs that often "match" in some way we've invented.) I also love the idea of Ronan having one of those really effective thermos things that he can clip to his belt when he's out doing chores and feeding the animals at the Barns for the morning. He usually finishes off one of those while Gansey is still sleeping and then makes another fresh pot of coffee for when Gansey gets up.

When school is in session, Ronan and Gansey work their schedules so that they can at least have coffee, if not breakfast, together before Gansey heads off. They both love mugs with stupid or relevant sayings on them, so they lovingly accept the mugs Blue and Henry find for them when they're out on the road or when they do group thrifting.

I have been. Busy. Don’t know if I said anything about it yet, but my mom got a job so I’ve been doing most house work now. I don’t hate it, but it’s just more than I’m used to.

Im over that cold, but it kicked my ass tbh.

Ronsey thought of the week:

I’m feeling very domestic this week, so; they play Rock Paper Scissors for the chores that neither of them like to do. Ronan hates the texture of clothes right out of the drier, so Gansey does that. Ronan like doing the dishes cause it keeps his hands busy and lets his mind wonder. But Gansey feels bad cause he doesn’t want Ronan to think he’s slacking off, so usually Gansey dries and puts away dishes after Ronan does them. They don’t make the bed every morning, but when they change the sheets they do it together. When they do like, full house sweeping and dusting they blast music and have fun while they do it.

Hello! I have also been very busy, and going through some sort of [vague gestures]. I don't know what happened to October, and November has now begun slipping through my fingers. It's this weird combination of happening in slow-mo and disappearing in a blink. Somehow that gets overwhelming at times...

...but I digress! It is good to see you, Ronsey Anon! I am so glad you're feeling better!

Domestic headcanons are my favorite. Especially for simple things like laundry and dishes. (God, I love clothes right out of the dryer...my wife fusses at me because I would love to go full-on cat and just take a nap in a pile of fresh still-warm towels.) Please imagine Gansey, having unintentionally been up all night, but he still insists on doing a couple of loads of laundry. Ronan busies himself with the outside chores at the Barns, feeding the critters and checking on the buildings. He comes back and he finds Gansey passed tf out on their bed curled in and around a pile of their bath towels. Ronan just pulls up the comforter and burritos him so he can get some good sleep.

I've probably mentioned this before, but I also like thinking of Gansey teaching at Aglionby, so he actually has a day job. Ronan very often makes sure to have something ready for dinner when he comes home, even if it's takeout or leftovers, making sure Gansey is well fed is something he is notoriously stubborn about.

I love Ronsey so much. T_T Thank you for this lovely start to my day!

I feel like a fraud right now, cause I’m legit only thinking of ronsey atm🤭🤫.

That being said, I’m scared of severe weather, and we could be having some in about an hour, so I’m currently trying to make myself less scared by thinking of Ronan and Gansey kissing in a thunderstorm🥰. So….

Ronan and Gansey on an adventure, and it starts pouring, and they get out of the pig and their standing in the middle of a field, rain running down Gansey’s glasses, and Ronan’s got his arms out wide and face tilted back into it, and thunder rumbles above them, and then kissing. It was fun, but Gansey ends up getting water up his nose, which just ads to the fun as a ‘hey remember that time’ sorta thing. Less fun is getting back in the pig and sticking to the leather seats. Gansey shakes his hair out and runs I’m his fingers threw it so it sticks back all messy, and Ronan has to lean over and kiss him again.

They're still damp when they get out of the Pig, and they don't bother drying off. It's not raining as hard as it was before, out in the fields. Gansey popped the trunk while Ronan just stood by the door with water dripping off his nose. Gansey admired the way he stood out as a dark shadow against the stormy skies and vivid greenery around them. A quick check tells him the machines are still working properly, though definitely not as responsive now that they'd driven back to civilization.

Civilization is a loose term for where they are, pulled off a dusty exit some miles away from Henrietta and Monmouth. But it boasted the best roast in western Virginia, and Gansey couldn't resist. Ronan would drink anything dark and strong, so he'd been an easy sell. Into the little coffee shop they went, turning heads immediately. What a sight they must be; Gansey in his bright polo, Ronan in his gothic blacks and heavy boots.

Gansey loves how they look together.

He buys them coffee, and Ronan lets him, blowing at the steam while he puts an ungodly amount of sugar in it. He tells Gansey with a straight face and deadpan tone that it'll help cool it off. Gansey laughs at the joke because he's thoroughly charmed and already thinking about kissing the taste of sugar and coffee off of Ronan's mouth. He swears he can still feel the rain on his tongue from earlier. He doctors his coffee and sips it gratefully, hooking a finger in the belt loop of Ronan's jeans to tug him back out to the car.

They drive a little longer, drinking their coffee while Ronan rolls the window down and jacks the music up. Gansey can feel his happiness filling the cab of the Camaro, and his own joy wells up like another cloud that will start pouring all the things Ronan makes him feel. They make it back to Monmouth, but it's Ronan who grabs the front of his shirt to kiss him before they can make their way inside.

Gansey had been right about how wonderful those coffee kisses would be.
