Bonnaroo: 'Rooing & C'Rooing

I just returned from my first music festival (unless you count Warped Tour in 8th grade); Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, TN. 

Firstly, I'd like to congratulate myself on camping in the middle of a field in the Tennessee heat for six days and not getting sunburnt. 

Convincing someone to volunteer with me was by far the hardest part, but luckily my awesome friend Catherine  was game. In hindsight, deciding to volunteer was the best choice I could have made. Not only did I get to see several fantastic musicians perform, but I met a ton of cool people through the "C'Roo" and there was a great sense of community and camaraderie among all the Bonnaroovians, but ESPECIALLY the C'roo.

Of course, the music is of utmost importance at Bonnaroo, and nothing disappointed. The biggest downside is not being able to see and do everything you want due to time conflicts and pure exhaustion. I was lucky enough to see two absolute legends; Paul McCartney, and Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, as well as a slew of other artists. I also checked a Jack Johnson concert off my bucket list after 7 years of searching for one that was doable. Overall a really fantastic experience that I plan to repeat next year.

PS: Bonnaroo beat Coachella this year.
