Couple of icons I recently finished!

Gift drawing (long-awaited) for my 100TH FOLLOWER: @roothroo!

Rooth provided me with the idea for this. Starring his signature Rooth Portals™ pushed to their limits, from using a meteor, to using an entire galaxy as a surface. I’m gonna take a guess that some area’s of Rooth are darker because it literally takes light that long to get there from where it began.

[COM] Rooth - An Evening Out

Well. Wasn't this the ordeal.

I was honestly intimidated by the piece for a very long time, which is why it took me so long to complete it. Trying to figure out what angle to shoot it at, whether to do it all digitally or incorporate 3D, heck just trying to figure out what character to plug in alongside Rooth here. But... I finally managed to overcome all of my anxieties and finish it.

All that anxiety for just an easy-going scene of Rooth and a female hillis* character that I've yet to name staying out after hours at a cafe... or... bar... chatting and enjoying each others' company. And no it's not a date. Just a cordial evening between friends. ... Really.

* Hillis [pronounced HEE-lihs] is just another one of my wide assortment of alien species that I've come up with.

EDIT: Well, I guess thanks to Rooth the character's name is now Amelda. :P

Ta-da, all done! Took three hours longer than I expected, I don't think I took into consideration the increased canvas size. Normally I work on an 8.5" X 11" canvas at 300 dpi, this time it was 9" X 16 at 300 dpi. Click the image to see it on DA!
