Seems like a lot of Carrie Lorig love around here lately, yes'um. But gracious, it's gotta continue because she keeps shredding. Today is release day for rootpoems, a collaborative chapbook by our lady of NODS Carrie and Russ Woods. Check out this trailer and then boogie over to Radioactive Moat Press and snag a copy. There's only 50 and they come with seeds!
rootpoems
Each copy of rootpoems will include a small packet of "these make roots" mystery seeds. The mystery seeds were carefully selected by Carrie and Russ. You'll have to successfully send them veining across your backyard if you want to find out if they'll end up sprouting numerous petals or the loveliest "skin-brellas" or possibly even . . . edible roots?
Carrie Lorig and Russ Woods have officially joined the other living ghosts within the one and only Radioactive Moat silk screen. (Look closely at the first photo--you'll notice Lonely Christopher's Crush Dream moon.) That said, rootpoems--RM's latest chapbook--will be making its debut very soon!
THANK YOU to everyone who submitted writing manuscripts during the month of May. Radioactive Moat Press's continued support from writers and readers alike is the very reason we're still around. THANK YOU--all of you--for trusting us with your work and purchasing RM chapbooks. Now--the exciting part!--this year's chapbook selection: as pictured above (Photos by Jeannette Gomes), the authors of rootpoems, a collection of poems by Russ Woods & Carrie Lorig. I promise you will love their "tree wrists like glory," "like root saps spilling gourds," "like split-finger sun juice"
