I was hate-watching rop2 JUST to see the Elrond-Durin interactions again.

And when we got it?

Elrond was an uncaring asshole who did not even offer his 'condoleces' to Durin. Or thanked him. Or... idk, hug him. He straight up listened to the heart-wrenching confession of his friend took in the situation, TURNED HIS BACK ON HIM and stood in silence. The next thing that came out of his mouth was "I need your army/axe".

Hello?? Where did your friendship go?? What about your heart to heart about fathers in season 1 go?? What about the gravity of Durin's situation??

I understand that the elves were in deep shit, but afais Elrond (and his race) only seem to take and demand from Durin. Demands in the name of friendship ofc, that Durin always honoured bc he's a good guy.

But damn if I didn't think to myself "I hope he turns him down and lectures him like he did in season one".

Very disappointed. They managed to ruin the only good thing the show had going on.
