I have a small hc that merchants and those who are devoted to Bifelgan have a special number, not necessarily a lucky number, but whenever something important happens in their lives, that number will be a part of it, either as is or divisible to that special number.
Obviously Papp’s and Partitio’s special number is 8, as Papp had life-changing things happen to him every 8 years and he had Partitio when he was 32. Partitio kinda inherited his father’s significant number and his once-every-8-years life changing experience. The number 8 appears in other parts of the game, like how Partitio has to make 80 billion leaves to buy the steam engine, goes on a journey in a party of 8 travelers, and is considered a chosen to Bifelgan, one of the 8 gods. He could also buy the boat for 80k leaves if you have a Silver Tongue NPC, too.
I also hc that Roque’s special number is 4, no real reason besides a) you fight him in Partitio’s chapter 4, b) his boss fight involves 4 different parts attacking you, c) he’s 60 years old in canon, which is divisible by 4, and d) he chosen 80 billion leaves to sell the steam engine, with 8 being divisible by 4 as well.
