The second lecture I attented on Monday was with Rory WT who is an animation director, 2D and 3D animator. During university he made a film called Mr Madila (which is actually pretty funny) but it incorporates a range of different animation techniques and just shows his range of skills.

because of this he received many job applications and it received awards too. “I’m a bit crap at both things (2D and 3D) but I still do it”~ Rory WT I really like his simplistic style and he said that when possible he doesn't give himself extra work, for example most of his characters have circles instead of hands just to make it slightly easier as animation is just so time consuming as is.

He also gave us some good resources to check out especially if we also want to get into freelance.

It was really nice to be able to attend these and see what people in the industry are currently like and absorb any information they gave us because they know what its like currently and as its always changing we need to keep up for when we finally enter the industry ourselves.
