Kaeya is aromantic. he doesn't rly actively use the word, but he keeps telling himself: not now. I've got work and friends, and my past haunting me, there's really no time or place for romance. and eventually he starts getting better, talking to diluc more and chasing threads from his past and he's still like 'well, everything is so good now, i don't really need anything else'

it's terribly annoying when hookups get infatuated with him. and that happens often, have you seen him?

it's also funny in juxtaposition with Rosaria, who's a helpless romantic. no one knows but Kaeya, and he has to listen to her rant about Barbara touching her hand and giving her tea, and how she must be as creepy as Albert and totally undeserving of her. then she will fall alseep on the bar in drunk stupor and Diluc will give her a sorry look (he's much the same- probably still has a collection of romance books from his teenage years) and ask him to take her home and finally do something about those two.
