The thing that sets her apart from the rest of the spectators isn’t any knowledge of the sport or skin in the game so to speak. It’s the jersey settled over her shoulders, at least two sizes too big, because that’s how Rosa likes her clothes, baggy and swallowing her whole. So now Isobel’s lithe frame drowns in the athletic wicking material as she hollers at the top of her lungs holding a homemade glittery sign that would put Liz’s science fair tri-fold to shame.

I don't know whether this is in the cards for your future chapters, but this question has been in my head the last few days:

What would Rosabel and Darion get each other for Winter Veil? 🎁❄️✨

Ouff, this is a good question and one I've thought about and debated myself with. It was pretty difficult to pinpoint what kind of gifts they'd present eachother with but I think I came to a sort of conclusion.

Darion I like to imagine would actually work on and have a Deathcharger groomed for her. Perhaps not exactly a Deathcharger as most Death Knights ride on, but a strong, fast undead steed that she could rely on. He knows for her love of horses and how she grew up in a family of horse breeders and he'd think this might be an appropriate gift that would make her happy. That and well "here's a horse that you can't somehow get killed so easily" hahaha. I think he'd also have the armor and saddle of the horse designed to her liking and aesthetic as well. I think it would be such a grand surprise for her and she'd love it so much and it would warm her heart. 💖

Rosabel on the other hand, I could easily say she'd get him something ridiculous to poke fun at him but this time around I think she'd actually put effort in getting him something truly meaningful and that would be his father's helm Justice Gaze. I like to think the helm was recovered by the Silver Hand and kept as an artifact in their vaults and after a lot of discussions and her arguing over it with tooth and nails, they'd finally allow her to take it and return it to the appropriate family member as it was originally meant. I think the gift would be rather touching and would open a floodgate of emotions for him alongside the fact that she managed to retrieve it even if it may have tarnished her standing with the Silver Hand a bit. Rosa being Rosa would ofc not care for what they think and only did what she thought was right and for him cause she'd know this would mean the world to him. 💖 (then she'd add an extra hairbrush just so he can finally groom his hair a bit cause ofc she can't resist a bit of teasing hahaha).

And as for such a thing in fics, I did consider it for the main fic but I'm not sure yet, but I also considered writing a Christmas special au oneshot cause I think it would be fun. Tirion does look like Greatfather Winter after all hahaha. 🎅

So I just opened ao3 and saw this comment on my main fic where they compare Darion and Rosa to Hades and Persephone and I am in complete awe at it.

I've never once thought of this before myself nor have I seen anyone else make this comparison either but after reading through it actually... makes sense. And now I'm obsessed with this idea. Thank you kind reader. 🔥❤️

I don't think Rosabel has ever blindly followed something. Maybe the closest was the voice that told her to return to Lordaeron at the very start, but she only did that because it simply didn't leave her alone and she just wanted peace and only went in hopes that it would finally stop.

But overall I don't think she blindly follows things, at least we haven't seen her do such things yet. She is a priestess but even with the Light she doesn't blindly follow it or abide by any strict rules with it.

I think Rosabel is too stubborn to bend the knee to something and tends to want to do things her way. Like a wild animal that you just can't truly tame cause it chews its leash off every time.

I'm not saying it's impossible for her to get blinded by something, be it some serious goal she wants to achieve or something so personal to her like vengeance that she ignores every warning around her but that would only be done by her own will and not because someone or something told her to.

Anima and Scourge for Rosie :)

ANIMA - What does their soul, for lack of a better term, -look- like? Describe physical sensation, colours, smells, aesthetics etc.

Ouff, this is a tough question.

If I had to think on what her soul looks like it would most likely be grassy plains of Lordaeron. Grassy but also currently having rotten and dead patches on it. Green with grayish-brown spots on it.

I think the sensation would be the type of nostalgic feeling of childhood where everything feels like it will always stay that good, carefree way with hearing a morning dove coo in the background and your mother calling you home for ice-cream. Sun shining and kids playing in the background. But with it also comes that pain that such a life is gone forever and nothing will ever be the same again. Like a knife twisting in your chest in the most painful and bittersweet way possible.

I think the smell would be of green grass and hay and fresh water and fruit but in the mix of it there's also this rot like something that has been dead for a while. A carcass, old molded wood or grass burning.

I like to think of it like this cause Rosabel holds a lot of childhood memories dear to her heart and also the pain of what was lost that comes with it.

SCOURGE - How would they feel if they knew someone was going to raise them as undead once their mortal life expired?

This really depends in my opinion on WHO will be raising her and what the circumstances of it will be.

I think Rosabel would realistically dread and be scared of undeath and if let's say someone from the Scourge announces they will be raising her once she dies, I think she would be filled with rage and anger over it. And if it happens, I think she would do anything in her power to get revenge on the one who raised her. I think she would be taking the Sylvanas route here.

But if let's say she comes to a mutual agreement with Darion that if she ever dies and she wants to be raised back by him then I think she would be scared but would find some comfort knowing that someone she loves will be there for her for every step of it.

Like let's say she knows about the Shadowlands, and knows that there is a very big chance that she will be separated from her family or Tirion or even Darion in the afterlife, then I think there might be a chance she chooses undeath over being alone. Because at least she will spend the rest of eternity with someone she loves.

I think Darion would explain to her in full detail that undeath changes you drastically but I still think she would chose that than being alone.

N’ZOTH - What is something they tend to try to overcompensate for?

Honestly I think multiple things in different aspects of her life.

Her being overprotective of Tirion and going as far as willingly putting her own life on the line to save his can be traced back to her survivor's guilt and sense of failure of losing her family to the Scourge as a child.

Tirion is someone she looks up to, cares for and grew to love as a father, and considering how haunted she was and still is over her family, I think she tries hard to be strong and brave for him as well as for herself to sort of "make up" for her old losses.

Another is her way of using humor or bullying to make up for her own insecurities or getting out of uncomfortable situations. A good example is her recent musing of her sister Annabel and how she admits to herself that she used to envy her older sister for her confidence and charisma and in turn always used to make fun of her over the top personality to make up for her own shortcomings.

Or how she deflects emotions, be it romantic or not with Darion usually with humor or rude words towards him. Darion even said it straight to her face once about how she used sharp wit or commentary to hide her true feelings, usually being scared or insecure about something.

Which she does like in the case of her being held captive and putting on a brave face and throwing sharp words but as soon as that was done and she was safe, she curled up in her tent and cried over her fears and torture and was showing great vulnerability.

I think Rosabel at her core is a very sad, emotional and even depressed person, and overcompensates a lot with her quick wit, headstrong and passive-aggresive behaviour towards others to cope with it. I think due to the intense trauma she experienced at such a young age, her development halted and she didn't grow up quite normal and never learned how to properly process or deal with her emotions in a healthy manner. She has been growing and developing more in recent times and has been more open with her vulnerability and emotions, especially towards Darion, but towards the rest of the world she still struggles with herself, her identity and what she is meant to be.
