For once I actually drew an Valentine piece!

I have few Esan Ocs and instead of copy n paste the same information to all their refs I thought it would be simplier to just create a species ref that I can add an link to on the Ocs refs.

If anyone want to create their own Esan OC, you are free to do so. Simply credit me as the species creator.

And more infomation:

Average height is 220 - 250 cm

Usually go by they/them pronouns but some individuals that didn't grow up with an promotive Esan sociaty can use other prononce they see fit.

Their lifespan is usually around 150 Years. As children they grow slightly slower than human and so an Esan child and a human child can grow up togheter but once an adult they age even slower and wont be able to grow old with a human.

Hair: Their hair can be both straight and wavy. And color ranges the same like their skin color. Normally the hair is darker than the skin color but there are exceptions. Esans and their subspecies, Scius, are the only Rosadian species that have hair and not fur. And because of that, their sociaty have grown around to encourages having long hair and short hair is scandalous. Some might be more conservative where even trimming their hair and having something small like bangs is taboo.

Eyes: They are nocternal and have very good eye sights. Iris coloring can be bright yellow, blue or white. Sclera are normally black, but with individuals with albinism, the sclera is instead a pale purple color. The iris are brighted purple color.

Skin color: They only come in grayscale. Any hint of brown in their coloring indicate being a hybrid. Coloring is genetic and depend on parents and even grandparents. It is not uncommon for children do be born with few shades darker than their parents but markings still comes from parents. It happens children are born with a light shade but definitely rarer which is why black Esans are more common than white Esans.

Esans cant have a dalmatian spotted or a zebra striped fully body markings. They can be piebald and markings with soft edges can look more blotchy than gradient.

The common beauty standards are contrasts. White and Black Esans stands out against the other grey Esans and so are consider beautiful. Markings with large shade difference are also considered beautiful but their children usally get the markings with a dull down shade.

Spiecies: Esan Age: 46 Hight: 9´7 Gender: Female (she/her, They/them)

Personality: She is intelligent and manipulative. She isnt religious but use it to influence the Esan society for her own benefits. On her free time she often want to enjoy the finer things in solitude. Things she normally would have access to if not for her influence.

Bio: Kahya is product of selective breeding. It what made her as tall and strong as she is without having her health suffer. She was taken from her bio parents when she was still baby, taught and trained to be a Utanlag and have no memory of her family. Being a Utanlag she had no rights and had to slave away for scraps. As an older teenager she learned the Esan religion 'Eyes in the void' have the belief that white and black Esans are guardians sent from the void to watch over rosadians. With this knowledge she appealed to the religious Esans and got their favor. She is now one of the richest and the one with most influence of all the Utanlags.

Other: - The 'H' in her name is pronounced like an exhaled chuckle. And so her name is pronounced Ka-HA-ja. - Kahya is an amazing swords-woman - Like all Esan so can Kahya turn to shadow. As a warrior she have trained this abilty to last longer and do it more often. - The Esan community want to use her for selective breeding but so far she have rejected. - She have been willing to create a child with Demond. Not out of love, just to have an heir. But Demond have always refused it. - Kahya grew up being refered to as a woman and will refere to herself as one. But the Esan community don't use gendered pronouns, instead they use pronouns for someone of a high military rank or a religious pronoun for Kahya.

Personality: Confident, kind, jealous (especially when it comes to Demond), family-Oriented, flirty and romantic. She likes to indulge in the finer things when she can.

Bio: Crystal was raised in the north by her single mother. She never knew her father and never cared to do so either. She did however wish for siblings that she never got. As a child she was whimpy and shy child and avoided other children and their rough play. Growing up she wish for a big family with many children so they dont feel lonely as she was. She meet Demond when they were teenagers, he helped her confident to grow and Crystal feel over heels in love with him. They had their first son when Crystal was only 17 and the other children quickly followed.

Humans are still quite scared of Rosadians in Nankals story.

Their roommate, Frida, decided to try dressing Nankal in a maid dress with cat ears and gloves.

Surely it would make humans less scared of them if they look cuter.

Im sad about it because Im really happy with it.

I did go back after doing the others to fill in her black spaces. I had only done the lineart.
