James is really clingy with Rosabelle when he sleepy. Truthfully, having her close helps calm his nerves and keep the nightmares away, but he thinks admitting that out loud would be far too cheesy, so he keeps it to himself. Still, he always needs to be touching her somehow, whether it’s pulling her into his arms or simply holding her hand, he needs her near.
Rosabelle, of course, doesn’t mind at all—well, except for those mornings when she tries to get up to use the bathroom, only for James to sleepily tug her right back into bed.

Following that, Rosabelle somehow manages to look like an angel when she wakes up in the morning, all soft and effortlessly pretty. James, meanwhile, wakes up with a truly tragic case of bedhead, his bronze hair sticking up in every possible direction. Rosabelle finds it adorable. James finds it deeply embarrassing, especially when she just smiles that teasing little smile and runs a hand through his messy hair like it’s the cutest thing she’s ever seen.

James and Rosabelle both have a soft spot for romantic comedies, making do with whatever old films the New Republic managed to salvage.
Rosabelle’s favourite is “While You Were Sleeping.”
James’s is “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.”
+ They also definitely have the post movie debriefs.

James and Rosabelle both have major sweet tooth’s. I imagine Jamesbelle + little Clara going on late night runs to any open convenient store and stack up on the good stuff.

Rosabelle is the one who opens all the jars in the house. James, of course, always insists that he “loosened it for her” beforehand… which is a complete lie, but he says it with such stubborn confidence every single time that Rosabelle almost wants to let him have it. Almost.

James beng clingy in general is funny because it’s not in an annoying way by any means (but all because Rosabelle is touch-starved to her core) but damn, his ass is kind of crazy about her. He’s always drifting toward her with open arms, ready for a hug like it’s the most natural thing in the world. The second they’re out somewhere, he’s reaching for her hand, pulling her close, finding some excuse to keep her tucked against his side. He’ll even hold her hand while carrying half her things, because apparently the thought of not touching her for more than five minutes is genuinely unbearable to him.
And James, perhaps most importantly, desperately requires a few Rosabelle kisses a day to function. They are, in his professional opinion, essential to his survival.

James makes the worst jokes imaginable. They are horribly cheesy, painfully stupid, the kind that make everyone else groan on instinct—but he keeps doing it because he knows they’ll make Rosabelle laugh. And the second she smiles, or lets out that little laugh she tries to hold back, suddenly the joke was worth it.
Everyone else just rolls their eyes, but James is far too busy looking at her like she hung the moon to care

Rosabelle is fully in charge of their shopping list. Honestly, she’s in charge of everything when they go out, making sure they don’t forget a single thing they might need. She runs on a strict system, a carefully planned schedule, and James, weirdly enough, is a very happy participant. There’s just something about the way she takes charge so effortlessly, checking things off her list and keeping him on track, that James finds ridiculously endearing. Rosabelle runs a tight little operation, and James follows along like the world’s happiest assistant, carrying bags and nodding like, yes ma’am, whatever you say.

Because of James’s healing ability, he’s never actually been sick before… except for that one unfortunate time.
And, as Rosabelle quickly learned, he is a terrible patient. Too stubborn and far too prideful to admit he feels awful, James keeps trying to get out of bed and do something stupid when he’s clearly supposed to be resting, which means Rosabelle practically has to force him to stay put. He even gets a little whiny too, mostly because he has no idea how to handle being sick in the first place, and suddenly every ache feels like the end of the world.
Rosabelle, of course, makes it her duty to take care of him. Rosabelle, meanwhile, takes care of him in her own way: bringing him water, making sure he takes whatever he needs, pressing a cool hand to his forehead to check on him, brushing his messy hair out of his face, and quietly indulging all of his dramatic complaints with an amused little smile.
