#2560 - Macrosiphum rosae - Rose Aphid

A worldwide pest of rosebushes, although winged adults may transfer to a handful of other hosts.

The aphid usually overwinters as eggs, but populations explode in spring via wingless females that reproduce parthenogenically.

Large populatins can damage the shoots and growing tips of the hostplant, and the honeydew they secrete (see the two droplets on the cornicles of the one below) is a substrate for sooty mould.

[found i didn’t have time to color in the new art but ANYWAY-] Here’s the self-insert OC that made her to become a decent OC, Rose Aphid.

Name: Rose “Aphid” Race: Human (been under Barian influence once though) Gender: Female Age: 26 Hair: Auburn Eyes: Blue Height: 5'6" Weight: 128 lbs Alias: Aphid (Dark Dueling World codename) Sexual Orientation: Pan Relationship Status: Complicated Love Interest: Romantic entanglement with Kaninja Deck: Aphid (monsters that swarm the enemies’ field by sacrificing monsters) Personality: She’s silly, prone to sympathize and is loyal and dependent but she can also be boastful, has a bad judge of character and is pretty dumb.

Bio: Rose Aphid is an information gatherer and supplier for the Dark Dueling world community (essentially a criminal collective of Heartland’s darkest dueling villains). Formerly a nurse, Rose was lured into this life of crime by a patient of hers and his associates. She, along with a pair of twins she went to school with (Ladybug and Killer, no one can tell which one’s which), were a part of the Weed Whacker group; paid criminals who gather information and schematics for fellow criminals or just whoever pays best. However, after an event caused Rose to lose her comrades, she locked herself in an abandoned hanger on the pier, waiting for their return.

During this time, Rose opened her skill set to the general public, becoming paid prankster for the middle school kids that visited her on account of rumors. Being paid in food, Rose would play pranks and torment whoever was her target until she got a picture of their tears. Of course, she still retains all the information and knowledge of her days as a Dark Criminal, and can supply that when asked.

She was most confused when one of her old comrades did find her years later, considering the fact she was pretty sure he was dead. If anything she just wished it wasn’t Heartland that came to her door. He gave her a faulty Number card and was charged with the duty of spreading more corrupted Numbers to the youth. Of course, when the time came, Rose was sacrificed too. Then later brought back.

“Ima Rosie-bingu your face! Kya~! ...that is how it works right?”
