For long time, I hated being here. It was lonely. I was scared. Unwanted. I didn't want to be here either.

I missed my dads. I missed my baby sister. I missed my partners. I missed a lot.

Things got better. They pulled me out.

I got my partners back. My family too. And I got new family. A brother. A dad I'd missed ever getting the chance to meet before.

It was hard. We joke the world has it out for me. Somethings always going wrong

I would start to fall apart all over again

STAR SAYS: To go a little more in depth, how each person interacts with their source differs! While everyone understands that they're here, part of a system, and that their source is fictional; none of that changes that the effect of their memories! Some are highly impacted by them, some have seperated, it varries! Some folks even have entirely seperated from their sources, maybe keeping their name if that. Others entirely identify with their sources! Some are also mixes of AUs or are younger versions of their source. Its crazy what the brain does! Also. Ouch. Our hand hurts. Whoops

Star: Oh man. That's a good question. And a pretty topical one for us right now actually. Star: Let's start with the first part! "how do introjects work in your system?" We've got a lot of those! Star: or they'll only have one that defines them and that they love to talk about! Star: Some have sources but are barely connected anymore beyond name and some core memories Star: I'll say more in the description so this stays a comic, not all writing Castor: "do they like being part of the system, or do they miss their origin world?" I'll take this one. When I first showed up, I was just happy to have my brother back Castor: "I missed you" Pollux: "I missed you too" Castor: Then, I spent a lot of time taking care of void. Castor: I guess I never stopped to think about what it meant for me. Castor: And then just a couple days ago, it hit me Castor: I was driving, chilling when a song that reminds me of my wife came on. Castor: It hit me all at once. We almost had to pull over. Castor: Held it together for most of the day. But once night hit... Castor: "I'll never see my wife again. Or my daughter. My best friend." Castor: Grief hurts. Castor: I can't stop thinking about it. Castor: I miss them so much. Castor: Did I just dissapear to them? Or am i just a copy splintered off? Castor: I choose to think the second one. It's the happier one. Castor: Do I say I have a wife? Or had. I am a dad? I was a dad? Castor: I won't see my baby girl grow up. Castor: I was so lucky to have my wife. Now, I don't. And if she saw how I'd been moping, isolating, she'd kick my ass. And look good doing it. Pollux: Okay. Gross, Cas. Castor: HAHA. Castor: It's not that I dislike being here. Castor: I've made new friends Castor: There's people who need me. Castor: I got my brother back. (And met boulder through him) Castor: I think it's how most of us feel. Castor: Homesick. We miss so many people. Castor: But we wouldn't give up what we have now. Star: "are they able to visit their friends in their original media?" Star: I'm not sure what you meant? But, a lot of them have found sourcemates in other systems that help ease the hard parts! Castor shows up and less than a week later had to teach a couple of our friends how to care for a car! Including adding oil, adding windshield wiper fluid, adding air to tires, and how to handle traction select.
