Suddenly single, 5 kids to support, Rose has just received news about "highly precancerous cells..."
From my friend, Robert Bidinotto --
AN EMERGENCY APPEAL.... Friends, I have never asked anything like this of you before. But a dear friend and her children have suddenly found themselves in a desperate situation and need temporary emergency assistance. The dear friend is Rose Robbins. As many of you know, Rose is an extraordinary singer and songwriter, an accomplished novelist -- and an amazing MOM to five remarkable children. You may NOT know that, in the past, Rose has had to confront and overcome personal crises that would have crushed any lesser woman or mother. She did so with extraordinary courage and character, becoming an inspiration to those who know her. But now, through no fault of her own, Rose and her children suddenly face an unexpected medical and financial crisis. Please read the details of this story at the link below. As you'll see, some of Rose's close friends have set up a fund for her and the kids, to help cover her badly needed medical care and crushing bills. AS A PERSONAL FAVOR TO ME,I would be deeply grateful if you would do two things: First, PLEASE donate whatever you can, in ANY amount, to this brave lady and her kids, just to help them through this short-term crisis -- until Rose's medical issues are addressed and she can find a job. Second, even if you are unable to contribute yourself, PLEASE "share" this message on your own Facebook page. To do that, you may have to copy and paste this message as a new post on your page, along with the link: If you just click the "share" button below, it will post only the appended link to your Facebook page, and not this full message. And if you use Twitter, I would be doubly grateful if you would share this appeal and the link there, too. Believe me, this wonderful lady does NOT want handouts or charity. To the contrary: When her friends learned of her dire circumstances, WE literally had to BEG her to let us launch this appeal on behalf of her family. Rose finally relented, but ONLY because the situation has grown so desperate...and especially because of the children she adores. I'm asking this of you because you folks are the greatest friends a writer could ever want. I think you trust my judgments about most things, and I hope that you'll trust my judgment about Rose Robbins and this situation. I'll be deeply grateful for anything you can do for her and five of the most amazing young people I have ever encountered. They do not deserve what has happened to them. To me, assisting them is not a matter of charity or generosity; it's a matter of justice. You know how I feel about THAT. And I know you do, too. Thank you in advance for your consideration, and any help you can extend. --Robert
