last time i folded it i got the angle wrong. this time the paper is a bit too thick so some of the layers sit ever so slightly off the paper and create shadows in some of the places where the yellow normally connects

so i dunno if anyone remembers the rainbow animals i designed but uh i’m revamping their story a bit

now it has weird bug robot things and idk if i’ll keep the gods. they might just have minor roles instead.

but yeah hopefully i’ll finish these refs soon

OH BOY HERE THEY ARE! The main cast for a project I’ve had for a couple of years now called ROYGV (Roy-gee-beev).

The plot is in the process of changing a bit from what it originally was, but in essence it stays the same: A group of rainbow-colored animals saving their land from a catastrophe that renders the world and its residents monochrome!

This was planned to be a RPG game of sorts, but atm I dunno what it’ll be. 

Little bio snippets below!

Rana

A panda from the Akai Kingdom. She’s the main character and the one who originally plans to save the land. Her main equipment is caps.

Oxford

A lizard from the Laranxa Kingdom. He was the apprentice of a respected inventor before they were afflicted with the monochrome condition. His main equipment is glasses.

Yoko

A rabbit from the Huángsè Kingdom. Was a tomb raider with his older brother, Yarrow, but Yarrow was killed in a cave-in. His main equipment is scarves.

Grendaine

A cat from the Berdea Kingdom. A patient with a terminal illness that made her lose a good portion of her fur. Her main equipment is coats.

Bauble

A bird from the Modrý Kingdom. Actually the son of said kingdom’s ruler, but doesn’t want to be babied anymore. His main equipment is vests.

Paula

A bat from the Karmrel Kingdom. Apparently the only survivor of the monochrome calamity in her kingdom. Her main equipment is bows.

Muddlebug

A species of robot insect that suddenly started showing up after the calamity. They act largely as a group and rely on instructions from their leaders.

Qpaqua and Cleari

The leaders of the Muddlebugs. They constantly switch between working well together and arguing. Want to sap the color away from the land of Chroma.

The Rose Unit

A rogue Muddlebug who somehow got a lovely coat of paint. They seem to lack any connection to the rest of the Muddlebugs, and is often said to have ‘malfunctioning programming’ by the others.

What are they? Some sort of robot? Artificial being? Well, they certainly don’t act--let alone look--like the rest of the Muddlebugs, that’s for sure!

I followed this janky youtube video and it wasn’t even right like remember when I posted about how 3-4-5 triangles make approximately 36-54-90 triangles? that was because i was folding this and the video used a 3-4-5 triangle so that’s why the spike on this unit is 36 degrees, but the thing is I checked the (admittedly also janky) pdf and the angle is actually supposed to be 45 so yeah pretty much i screwed this unit up! thats great
