OK, so I'm a dumass but I have an idea for a Rosebird AU.
So, basically, the Branwen tribe has just moved into a new area and they're still setting the camp up.
And then a wounded traveller stumbles into camp, her white cloak stained red with blood. The traveller manages to get out two words before collapsing.
"Help... Please..."
At the arrival of the traveller, the Chieftain (Raven) has the tribe set up the medical tent immediately, despite the fact that its normally one of their last priorities. However, they wouldn't dare go against their leader's wishes, so they pitch the tent and carry the traveller inside, where she's treated (as best as they can).
Over the course of a few days, a couple of the veteran tribesmen notice that their leader seems to be taking quite the interest in this newcomer (supposedly named Summer) and decide to ask her most trusted tribe-member, Vernal.
Vernal reveals (although not without regret) that Raven has indeed been rather interested by the newcomer, and while she hasn't said anything, Vernal believes that she might feel something more towards Summer.
"A pretty face, with a smile like dat, I don' blame 'er." is but one of the responses to this revelation.
Vernal makes it clear that if any of them try to use this against Raven, that the Maidens wrath will come down apon them, and the veterans nod.
The next day, two of the veterans and a couple of 'greens' are talking about how ludicrously strong Raven is.
"I heard she took down a pack of Nevermore by herself while she was just a kid!"
"Oh, was dat th' one tien she couldn't get to her sword, so she had t' punch 'em all t' death?"
"Nah, that time after her an' her bro where sparrin', and she'd been got good before the fight even started."
"Oh yeah, th' time she had to protect 'er bro from, like, eight of 'em."
It just so happens that this conversation, and many others like it, happens just outside the tent that Summer is recovering in. Over the course of a few weeks, Summer hears about how powerful Raven is, how cunning and clever she is, about Ravens incredible leadership, and about how Raven is just so incredible.
Surely the tribe would know, right?
Eventually, Rosebird-based stuff happens when Summer has recovered (including the revelation that Raven is actually a precious bean and just refuses to show it because of the tribe) and one night, after their first kiss, from behind her tent Raven emerges while holding Summer's hand. It's dark, and she's hoping she can sneak into her tent with her Rose in tow. But she stops.
"What's wrong Rae?" Summer says, before stopping beside her. Stunned.
The whole tribe is gathered on the other side of the tent, many with lanterns.
Raven begins to panic.
'Crap, what if they try and use Summer to get to me, what if I can't stop them from using her as bait, what if they kill her, or force me out, what if-'
By this point, many of the bandits have noticed that they're holding hands, their leader is showing Affection to someone. Something she didn't even do for her own brother.
The whole tribe stands there in silence, looking at their leader and her girlfriend...
"WE FUCKIN' DID IT BOYS, DRINKS'RE ON ME!"
And the whole tribe cheers.
I call it, the Wing-Tribe!AU
