titanic au series → cal saves rose from jumping after his nightly poker game with the other upper-class men, cal decides to go on a stroll around the decks before returning to his suite for the evening. on his way back he hears a woman crying in the distance; looking over the railing he can see it is none other than his fiance, rose, lowering herself off the back of the ship. franctically, he rushes to her and convinces her to come back over before she has time to let go and fall to her death in the frigid ocean below.
