APHOTIC  HEART .   opaque  wonder,   as  he  is  the  snake.   even  kind  intentions  are  unrevealed,   all  except  the  very  few  that  have  melted  the  ice.    ❝  zoya,   my  darling  pest.  ❞    oh  so  contradictory,   even  with  upstanding  intent.   he  has  missed  her,  dearly,   but  he  is  not  one  to  admit  to  such  niceties.   her  voice  like  berceuse,   it  sings  such  a  symphony  to  his  ears.  he  takes  up  far  too  much  space  on  the  couch.    (   you  are  the  son  of  a  goddess,  you  are  allowed  it  here.   )    ❝  have  you  missed  me ?  ❞   far  too  long  was  his  absence,  and  not  a  hint  or  a  note  dropped.     /  @rosedmyth

               there’s a soft grin upon mischievous features (as there always is), fingers delicately plucked at ever-present lute---a new one, though no less garish in decoration, this time studded with precious stones in intricate patterns. “well, my dear--” the thief pauses, drawing out a few more bars of melody before resuming.

               “before i go insane, shall we enjoy ourselves some more? i hear there’s a rebellion in the sunlands if you’re itching for a fight.” he hummed along with his song, cat-like eyes drawn to the intimidating figure of his queen. who would have thought he’d end up here? sat in the lap of luxury, wanting for nothing---and still his avarice was far from satisfied. what he wanted most, he couldn’t touch.

               the sounds of sergio bellowing from below drifted up towards them, a rather common occurrence, these days. his tune grew louder as though to drown out the chaos below, drawing his attention away from the inevitable. / starter for @rosedmyth.

              offer laughter in the midst of calamity   /   offer your heart in the midst of terror  .         in many ways  ,     he is your lifeline  ,     your tether to this uncertainty and mortality  .      ever does your gaze wander to him in times of trouble  ,    silent communication is the common language you share  ,     found in the uncrossing of arms and the quirk of brows when your laughter and quips would be found   DISTASTEFUL  .        but now you are relinquished of your silence  ,     set free as you pull will into a darkened hall where none would expect to find the two of you lingering  .      muffled chuckle             ❝     i didn’t think that meeting would ever end  .      ❞          will’s knuckles brought to your lips  ,     idle presses of affectionate tendency  ,     hand lingering against side  ,    drawn closer          yet your eyes still reflect light like silver moons             ❝     really   ,      i think even charlotte nearly fell asleep  .       ❞
