Wonder about Edward’s weird self and powers
Goes hiking a lil and wanders around tide pools
A couple of teenagers come by
They introduce themselves as Seth, Sam, and Embry
Seth being the most excited introduces himself first to Bella
To her surprise, Seth calls her Bella, not Isabella like everyone else did
He’s younger than anyone else here, about 14 years old
“I heard you bought Billy’s old truck?” Seth asks kinda amazed
“Yea, It’s really good, I love it,” Bella defending her worthy truck
“It’s alright. I was going to get it, but I’m glad it got to you instead. I want a motorcycle,” Seth says dreamily
“Those are death machines,” Bella warns.
Her motherly side tends to come out after all the horror stories Charlie has told her about those vehicles
“You sound just like Leah,” Seth sighs, “My sister. She trying to fix me another car,” Seth pouts
“Wow, fixing it?” Bella asks
That’s how Bella learns about the Clearwater Family
Leah fixing up cars and keeping an eye on Billy when his kids left for college
Bella decides to make a plan to say thanks for fixing up her truck
Seth loves telling stories and that’s how Bella sneaks for a story of the Cullens
He’s really good at storytelling and Bella is shook by all drama and action he brings out of it
“It’s just a silly scary story. I don’t buy it. I don’t think Leah does either,” Seth says.
He comes in closer as if he got another secret
“Don’t tell anyone, but I saw Leah hang out with one of the “Cold ones,” yes, Seth does put up finger quotes for that
Bella stops in her tracks
“Which one?” Her first thought is Edward, of course
“Oh, Rosalie. The blonde mechanic, she’s better than Leah with all those tools,” Seth answers
“I thought they weren’t allowed here,” Bella states.
“They aren’t. Leah sneaks out” Seth whispers if this is state secrets.
Which very well could be if the whole reservation is on edge with the Cullens
“She just says she goes into town, but now she got a new fancy phone,” Seth remarks
“From Rosalie?” Bella asks. They are rich, especially with their cars
“Who else? We don’t have that money,” Seth points to his clothes.
Mike and Co. get to them and they have to talk Cullen Gossip for the time being
Bella gives her phone number to Seth just in case he wants to talk more about the cullens or his family
“It be the family phone, so just ask for me,” Seth says. Leah is seemly the only one with an individual phone.
Maybe the Cullens are just like that. One saves your life. One buys you things.
