Meet two characters from my upcoming webcomic, Red Frost! They’re older in the comic, but I thought it’d be fun to draw them as teenagers. The girl on the left is Jimmie, and the girl on the right is Em. They’re sisters, but clearly they’re very different. 

Enjoy, and stay tuned for more Red Frost art and updates! I hope to get the comic started by mid-July.

Okay, so this was finished a little later than expected, but since it’s a painting I’ll say it counts for yesterday and today of #maywedrawdaily . It was my Dad’s birthday yesterday, and as a present, I drew him. He really is the best father I could ask for--he taught me to be kind, and strong, and stubborn. More than anything, he showed me that work you love is so, so much better than any work at all.

This is part of a self-portrait I did a while ago. There were other pages, but this is my favorite one. It really does feel like a history of me.

The backgrounds are excerpts from the books that have influenced me most: Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Percy Jackson, and Adventure Time, in that order. Drawn with microns and copic markers.
