Have You Been Lifting, Sal?

"I mean... Homeless with money, yeah. Some money. At least it's better than being a full fledged hobo, you know?" Tia said.

"Do you have a job?" Sal asked. 

"I got fired a couple of months ago. I was late too many times." Tia sighed. "It's my own fault."

"Well, I think they should've given you a warning before just flat out firing you." Sal said.

"They did. Haha, I'm just really irresponsible." Tia laughed.

"...Oh. Haha.. Well, they still shouldn't have fired you. That's messed up. It's not like you were bad at your job right?" Sal asked.

"I was pretty good actually. I'm a cook, or, well, I'm trying to be. I'm way better at grilling than gourmet cooking. But, I like gourmet cooking too." Tia replied."One time I set a turkey on fire. I'm surprised they didn't fire me then."

"Hahaha, getting fired for starting a fire!" Sal laughed. Tia couldn't help but think his laugh was cute.

"Have you been lifting, Sal? You look good." Tia said softly. Sal blushed. 

 "..Yeah, I have.. Thanks for noticing." He mumbled.

"I decided I want you to grill for me so I can see how manly you are." Tia flirted

"Is that so?" Sal chuckled. "Well... I guess it's time to make you the best burger in the world."

Can I Tell You A Secret Sal?

"I loved this park as a kid." Tia said happily. "Are you hungry? I'll cook you something if you want..."

"Tia...?" 

"Yeah?" Tia asked, turning around. 

Sal embraced her. Tia's heart jumped and she felt her face burn.

"...Oh..." Tia sighed. "You're going to be okay Sal. You'll get through this." 

"Thank you for bringing me here. It's... It's nice." Sal replied.

"It's alright. I wish I thought of something more private. People can be nosy. I... Can I tell you a secret Sal?" Tia said.

"Sure!" 

"I moved out and I'm kind of hotel hopping right now. Aaand the hotel is gross so I wanna stay outside all the time now." Tia whispered.

"Oh shit... You're homeless?"

“My Dad could be dead...” 

"Shh.." Jaunce comforted."I love my brother, Sal... No matter what. I know I did a bad job of being there for him and I don't think you'll believe me when I say how sorry I am for that, son." 

“There’s nothing I regret more.” Jaunce said.

"...Well.. You should've said that to him..." Sal replied quietly, and left without another word.

“It’s alright, Tia. Things will start looking up.” Tia pep talked herself. She turned the corner and stopped short.

He Could Be Dead!

Sal was up all night searching for his Father. He felt hopeless. He only had one more person to talk to right now, his last hope for info on where his Father could've gone...

"Sal? Are you okay?"

"My Dad is missing and you HAVE to know where he is, okay? You said it yourself! You were best friends once! Tell me you know where he is, Jaunce!" Sal exclaimed.

"Price is missing..?" Jaunce gasped.

"Fuck you, okay? Yeah he’s missing, I just said that! I want to find him and just- just fucking stop the BULLSHIT!" Sal snapped. "If you cared you'd already know that he was GONE!"

"I bet you did something to him! Didn't you?!"Jaunce was appalled at the accusation. He didn't know how to respond to that.

“...”

"You loved him once, didn't you? How could you just stay here in your mansion with your fucked up daughter and cling to this bullshit legacy and still be so fucking bitter?" Sal demanded. “For all we know, he could be dead!”
