Purdue RCAC Meaning And QRS Partner for U.S. Air Force AI
AI Platform Partnership with Purdue and Quantum Research Sciences to Transform Air Force Technology Acquisition.
Purdue RCAC
The U.S. Air Force's access to commercial technology will be substantially simplified via ACID-R, an AI-powered platform. Purdue University's Rosen Centre for Advanced Computing (RCAC) and Indiana-based Quantum Research Sciences (QRS) collaborated on this groundbreaking tool, which will revolutionise private sector technology proposal evaluation and analysis to speed up defence modernisation.

Fixing Tech Proposal Inefficiencies
The Air Force's technology proposal process is inefficient. Email and other outdated techniques are utilised to distribute information, and critical information is sometimes hidden in 20-page PDFs. Manual review is time-consuming and often misses vital information. QRS CEO Ethan Krimins said ACID-R will modernise this old approach and make relevant data easily accessible and valuable.
How ACID-R Changes Reviews
Vendors can upload capability assertions to ACID-R, avoiding bulky PDFs. Next, its advanced AI extracts and organises each submission's relevant data. Unlike manual document evaluation, Air Force personnel may swiftly search, filter, and examine thousands of proposals. The ability of ACID-R to automatically indicate missing information and provide vendors with real-time feedback is crucial.
This speeds up defence modernisation, especially logistics and sustainment, by helping businesses submit more complete and efficient proposals. Importantly, the platform leverages AI to give accurate information regarding for-profit, military-oriented goods and services without “hallucination,” or AI-generated falsehoods.

A Major QRS-Purdue Collaboration
ACID-R shows Purdue University's Rosen Centre for Advanced Computing and Purdue Innovates client QRS' tight partnership. A national leader in high-performance computing and AI innovation, RCAC is a great partner for such a complex project. “This Air Force project is the largest and most significant collaboration the centre has undertaken with QRS to date,” said RCAC Centre Operations and Visualisation director Laura Theademan.
Daniel Madren, senior research development administrator and program leader at RCAC, oversees technical development with Air Force peers. He noted that QRS worked with AI scientists, research software developers, and visualisation experts to create this breakthrough platform.
Deep Defence and Quantum Software Expertise at QRS
Quantum Research Sciences, an Indiana software company, contributes to national security. First functional quantum software for the Department of Defence was developed by the company. QRS works with Purdue physics professor Andreas Jung and the Jung Research Group, including PhD researcher AJ Wildridge, to apply quantum computing to national security.
QRS's objective is to solve defence problems with beneficial software, according to Ethan Krimins. ACID-R strengthens the Air Force's ability to use private sector innovation by using cutting-edge AI technology. QRS discovers, develops, and distributes quantum software and investigates new quantum applications.
The Purdue Innovation and Impact Promise Purdue researchers, staff, students, and alumni need the Purdue Research Foundation's Purdue Innovates network to commercialise and create businesses. It aids venture capital, licensing, IP protection, and tech development. Top-10 US public research university Purdue University prioritises research and education while being cheap.

Speeding Defence Modernisation The ACID-R platform should help the Air Force discover and buy F-22 Raptor parts. The Quantum Research Sciences-Purdue University RCAC partnership is expected to speed up defence modernisation and keep the U.S. Air Force at the forefront of technical innovation by increasing proposal quality and review process.
