Ok I think in my totally biased, Connie-lovin opinion, that it's a good thing Rose's sword was shattered while Connie had it.

1) This is the source of a lot of conflict between the Diamonds and the Crystal gems, so if we really gonna have Diamond allies(moms) then the sword needed to go.

2) Bismuth has returned, so the shattering of the sword brings about a VERY real possibility that rather than recreating the sword, a new one, especially for Connie (or even Stevonnie) can be made.

3) Connie has become more in the Crystal Gems than Steven's friend who can sword fight. She's really grown into a character of her own as well, so I think the sword being broken really signals the end of Connie being an extension of Steven.

4) Going off #2, Connie should have a weapon that is hers, just like the other Crystal Gems, and since she isn't a gem, a new sword created for HER specifically brings that idea of Connie being a full Crystal Gem also.

Tl;dr: I love Connie please make her a full customized sword that's just hers(or I suppose also Stevonnie's) I beg of you

First of all, I’m sorry for the long wait, I have been very busy lately. 

Second of all, I know that my design of Pink Diamond is different from the real one. I started this series before Pinks face reveal in the show, and I don’t want to change the design midway.
