(I really love Rosie’s design so I’ve been looking for an excuse to draw @rosetrusted, she’s so cute!! I know technically the scene setting and the way rosie shook Paz’s hand was different but I wanted to try smthing. Hope you don’t mind!)

They probably looked ridiculous, standing next to each other, the size difference blinding- and Nova has never been the biggest Ruby to begin with- but somehow, with her hands held like that, with Rosie looking at her like that-

She just felt equal. 

Nova returned the smile, her own dark eyes warm and affectionate, her voice dropping into the typical Ruby rasp. 

“I’m glad I found you,” she murmured softly, turning her hands so she could cup Rosie’s cheek, gently brushing her thumbs alongside them “Out of all the gems... I am very grateful it has been you who was waiting for me here, on this planet.”
