Okay so I know that a lot of North Americans make fun of the UK English spellings for certain words (colour, favourite, grey, etc). And sure, whatever, so funny.

But, as 8-15ish y/o, I was obsessed with the different spellings. Like annoy my teachers bc I would insist on only using British spellings obsessed. Like ask my family to special order British versions of books obsessed. Still to this day have to think twice about the spelling obsessed.

Anyways, this is a warning to any American parents who refuse to let their kids watch normal kid shows and instead only let them watch PBS + BBC America. They’re probably going to be more interesting but not necessarily in the ways you want lmao

Why did no one tell me that the cost of writing a book means you’re constantly plagued with images and scene ideas? And if you can’t get to a notepad quickly enough to jot them down for later, you feel like your brain will fall out? Why did I think there was an on/off switch?
