Rosie, unlike Charlie, had been locked down with the rest, and Sada had held back on her rations for that day thus far, hoping she'd be hungry and maybe just a little bit desperate by the time she received her visit from Sada. This woman was a valuable asset in the workings of the building and getting her on board with herself and her people would be beneficial.

Thanking Hector as he closed the door behind her after Sada stepped into the diner owner's apartment, giving a look around it before setting down the tray of full rations that she carried in her hands.

"She's basically like... my big sister. She's taught me everything I know about cooking, and sewing. She gave me a job and a second home, and saw the potential in me as a stupid kid right out of high school and scared of the big wide world. She's had my back for so long that I can't imagine life without her. Now... if only I could get her to get along with my brothers..."

"Rosie is like such and inspiration you know. She like always listens to me and she never acts like my ideas are dumb or anything. She's totally this independent business woman getting her hands dirty. Like sure I have a perfume line and s kids clothing line but like I don't actually run those, I have like people who do that. I just come in and pick what I want the stuff to be and they make it happen. Rosie does all of that by herself... well I mean with Charlie, but even Daddy had an amazing assistant when he was running all his stuff. I think she's totally a girl's girl, and I love her so much. One of the best things Daddy ever did."

This was stupid!

Emily paced slightly outside apartment 310. Her nerves were wreaking havoc on her thoughts. 'What is wrong with you? It will be fine. It's gonna be either yes or no. A fifty-fifty chance. Everything will be fine.' she pep talked herself. 'Unless you scare her off by coming on too hard. Fucking great.'

She forced her steps to stop and took a deep, calming breath. She could do this. It was just a casual introduction. Nothing would go wrong. She raised a hand and knocked three, solid times. Her skin felt electrified as she waited patiently. And when the door opened she nearly forgot why she'd stopped by - the quiet pause as she fought to gather her thoughts raising her anxiety even further.

"Hey!" she managed to get out, giving a momentary raise of her hand as a wave. "Emily," she introduced, pointing at herself with a small laugh. "Lockmoore. Sort of your neighbor," she added, half turning as she pointed out her shared apartment with her brother. "I, um, you're Rosie, right? You run the diner?" she eventually asked.

@lovxrslane Lane is easily one of Ember's favourite people in the world. Outside the fact that they used to do everything for her, Ember never really felt judge by Lane, and always felt like they really listened when she needed someone to talk to. Now that the world's ended, she's started to realize that Lane was maybe the one real friend she'd ever had. @rosiesdiner Ember really truly looks up to Rosie. She thinks she's beautiful, smart, strong and as far as Ember is concerned, The Wexley just couldn't be The Wexley without her. @rioreeve Zach is her first actual friend. Not there for her money or her influence, he and Ember just sort of get each other. Considering they've been acquainted since they were children, the fact that it took the world ending for them to become actual friends is so funny to her. If it were up to her, Zach would have been her brother instead of Toby. Toby can go kick rocks.
