dinner with jasper had been quaint as usual, some sort of warm stew that left celeste with a homesick feeling for nowhere in particular. cooking for two was not the man’s specialty, though, used to making enough to feed any hungry mouths that might suddenly appear. after their dinner, they spend a few minutes packing most of it away, and while jazmine and sage are out currently, it’s jasper that mentions rostam’s name. she’s quick to volunteer to bring him some –- what’s not packed up is still warm on the stovetop.
with a gentle rap of her knuckles, she waits patiently in the hallway outside of rostam’s room. it takes a moment before the door opens, and it’s clear he’s a little surprised to see her. so much for foresight. “ hi rostam. ” she smiles, lifting the tray in her hands as explanation. the air between them is certaintly awkward, but at least there was stew as a peace offering. “ jasper and i just had dinner and he made... a lot. i thought you might want some. ” @rostameu
