40 OC Development Questions
3. If you were to choose another name for your oc, what do you think it would be? Did you choose it for how it sounds or for its meaning?
If I were to change her name…? I don’t know I love the name she has but maybe I would have just changed the spelling to Delilah with the H because no one seems to remember there’s no H and they always write it lmao. But I mostly chose it for how it sounds, and looks, BUT on the topic of name’s I would change her last name, Connors to something that has more meaning behind it (I will probably be doing that for the series I’m writing her into)
17. How well can your oc keep secrets? Is there a difference between how they handle their own vs someone else’s? To what lengths would they go to keep something hidden?
Very well, if they are her own. Very well if they are others but the catch here is that it depends on who that someone is to her & how much she cares about them. If a stranger tells her a secret she feels no resolution to keep it, if her best friend tells her a secret she’d more than likely take it to her grave… but even that has it’s addendum- if that relationship ends badly she’d probably use the secret (depending on its severity) against them (cause she’s a bitch sometimes) Also on the topic of her own secrets, there are only a rare few people she’d tell any of her secrets too. So you’d have to be very close to get anything worthwhile out of her.
21. Are there any public events your oc would love to go to? Concerts, plays, movies, parties, etc? What about ones that they would hate? Why?
She would love to go to literally every single concert she could monetarily afford, all of them, shed also love to be invited (and most times is invited) to as many parties as she can attend. The only things that she would hate to go to are classy, posh- have a stick up your ass parties.
27. What’s your oc’s preferred mode of transportation? Walking, vehicle, (or in a sci-fi/magic setting) teleportation?
She loves to shift into her wolf form and run for miles, though she doesn’t use this as a form of transportation anywhere there are people, when she’s around others she mostly prefers riding shotgun in cars. Lila’s never really liked driving since her parents died during their car crash.
34. How easily does your oc throw something away? As soon as something is through with its usefulness, or are they more like a hoarder? Is there a reason?
Depends on the thing. Normal household things she has no issue throwing away after it’s use is gone (i.e. cleaning supplies, bath products, kitchen things) but she has a hard time giving away clothes, you could say she’s a bit of a clothes hoarder, mostly because she just loves looking good (it helps when she’s insecure about her personaly to look good ya’know) so she holds onto clothes.
40. How humble is your oc? Or are they closer to royal in their self-perception? Why? Is this obvious to others?
She’s (falsely) up her ass about herself, in public, in places where she wants to be seen she acts like her shit doesn’t stink. In private she acts differently, her self perseption is much much lower. Lila hates herself in many ways, she struggles with how she views herself physically but mostly she hates her personality, who she can be, she hates that she is self-aware of her flaws, and her mental disorder, yet still has times where she choses to let those things define her. It’s an uphil battle, but most of the time people don’t see this side. They see her confident, slightly self depricating perky side where nothing is wrong, and everything she thinks of is a good idea & the right thing, even when it may not be.
