Gonna be completely fr, I remembered Pen had glasses part-way through drawing this and, after adding them to his face, I felt like they were getting in the way of the mutual yearning, so I decided to give them to Cherri. I do like giving the characters more than one task, feels more natural and grows the scene a bit more (I do kinda want to write that she takes his glasses off into the fic that this version of them is based on now, haha).
Also, yeah, this is based off of the versions of them from my longfic that has been a wip since December (updates in my pinned post). Although, where we see them in this drawing is a specific part of the timeline.
This will all make sense once the fic is completely posted, I promise. For now, while it's still under construction, here is a taste of the Pen and Cherri vibe!
