Rotameters Manufacturer & Supplier in Gujarat, India
A Rotameter, sometimes referred to as a variable area flow metre, measures the rate at which a fluid, usually a gas or liquid, flows through a closed pipe or process line. It is composed of a tapered tube, typically made of glass or plastic, with a floating element inside that can move freely up and down as fluid passes through the tube. The float often has a cone- or ball-like shape and a density that is lower than the fluid density being measured.
Depending on the flow rate, the fluid causes the float to rise or sink as it passes through the tube. Rotameters are widely utilised in many different industries, including water treatment, food and beverage production, medicines, and chemical processing. They are a popular option for many applications since they are straightforward, dependable, and quick to install and run.
They may not be appropriate for use with highly viscous or corrosive fluids, and they can only assess relatively low flow rates, among other restrictions.
