Headcanons for the RotG \ GoC world-building
As it said on the tin, this is my big list of headcanons for the world-building to Rise of the Guardians and Guardians of Childhood, but mostly the movie since I'm currently on the 3rd book. I'll add more later.
There is a Jack-o'-Lantern and I can't figure out if his name is Shane or Séan, but his surname will be O'Leary. See if you can figure out the pun there. Halloween spirit, but not a guardian.
O'Leary is undead like Jack Frost, but look, I'm not going to confirm the existence of St. Peter or the Devil in the world of RotG. Just know that he died and can't go anywhere, so he's stuck here.
due to that, has a strong rivalry with Death like Bunny with North
carries around a lit carved pumpkin or yellow turnip. sometimes switched out to other vegetables like the beetroot for a sick red glow!
I should clarify that the vegetable is called "turnip" in Ireland, but a "turnip" in North America is the white turnip. Rutabaga for North Americans, neeps for Scots, Swedes for Britons. He enjoys the confusion it caused.
has a truce with Death for the end of October-beginning of November since death holidays overlap with the modernized candy-filled celebration

I quite like the idea of everybody calling him by his surname like Bunnymund.
Death is genderless, takes on the appearance of anybody or anything you find comforting, and uses all pronouns.
I don't want to give a name, because it feels wrong to give a fantasy name to actual Death??????
Death swears by neutrality because ahem, death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and saints.

If Death was a guardian chosen by MiM, they would turn down the role always
when you think about it, Death should not be a Guardian of childhood because it's usually older people who die, but ... children do get to see Death

it's painful for the Guardians when they see Death take a child
it took some time, but Death finally relented, but on her own terms. Death will be a Guardian of Growing Up, neither childhood or adulthood. His center is Peace.
North keeps meeting Death. Death keeps meeting North. "We keep meeting." Death kept a tally.
Death was there for Jack and Sandy. Pitch saw Death after he killed Sandy and got real smug about it.
She released Sandy with grace, but stuck around for the final fight. Then realized "my spidey senses are tingling" = Pitch was going to die from his nightmares.
Well,,,, we can't confirm if Pitch did die there. Death won't tell.
He actually took a vow of "don't tell anybody who died," because people get upset and will grab their pitchforks.

Joined Death in the status of Guardian of Growing Up with the center of Love. Yes, very on the nose, but make it all sorts of love.

Was a Guardian of Childhood, before Jack Frost joined, but retired from the role. Felt it wasn't the right fit.
