High above the ground and perched on a dreamsand cloud, the Sandman, dutiful as ever kept up his work of sending off sweet dreams to those under his charge, stream after stream of dreams elegantly descending to the sleepers below. The Guardian, quite settled in his work, could be relied upon to repeat such efforts every night, only that particular night his cloud came to a stop and the Sandman looked up to the stars above rather suddenly as if someone had told him to stop.
He sent no more strands, nor did his cloud move any further on, instead the small man just sat and continued to look up to the stars above as a sorrowful drizzle started to fall from his cloud, never on purpose of course, but when was anyone ever purposefully sad?
