We, Rotherhithe+, are doing a class project about co-creating products with a local London community/neighbourhood, and we decided on Rotherhithe.
This project is about co-creating a future product/service, with the community, so its bespoke and will be driven by local needs and future aspirations of Rotherhithe.
First, we talked to different people in the neighborhood to get a general sense of what Rotherhithe was about!
Then, we found the Mayflower, and discovered it has recently become a hub for all the locals! From there we continued to meet different people, and talking to them to see what network existed between the spaces and community.
We put together a presentation that represented some of the personas of Rotherhithe, networks between people and spaces, a mood board made of images and characteristics that make up the Rotherhithe identity, and the direction we’d like to go in with this project. All of this information was gathered from you, the Rotherhithe community, and we tried to stay as objective as possible.
We are now onto the next phase of project, which is to implement our research and begin building a physical prototype that we can leave with the community as a tool to hopefully help facilitate an intradependent community.
