Hi! I'm sure I've commented this before on one of your posts (so sorry if it's redundant), but I was born in the same town as Mark Rothko. We have a Rothko museum, a Rothko monument (that looks like a melting phone booth), Rothko history events etc. I now live in a different country that's currently Going Through It and cannot cross the border to visit my hometown, so seeing you on my dash is like seeing a glimpse of my home again. It's warm and filled with childhood nostalgia. I loved that museum, giving random people improvised essays about the meaning of one painting or another (hi, pretentious art kid me). Thank you. Keep up the good work, you are making one person from Daugavpils very happy!
Oh that's so nice to hear! Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to write. I have been in touch here and there with the Rothko museum, they are very nice. I'd love to visit, but you know, it's far and I'm poor!
Thank you so much for your note.
