standing at once from where she had fallen during battle, she wipes the smeared dirt from her face. relaxing her hand on the hilt of her overheated blaster. she takes the moment of victory as an opportunity to catch her breath, overlooking the destroyed pack of droids her and anakin had just taken down. she peers from behind her hiding place - blaster first - before her eyes fall upon the jedi.

ah ,   how the words strike perri’s heart with their familiarity.   she ,   too ,   feels like an echo more often than not.   she chooses not to think of herself ,   simply to avoid recognizing how many pieces she’s become  :   the parts that make up her whole all scattered throughout time ,   and who knows how she’ll recover them ?   she wouldn’t be so candid with her thoughts   (  chooses not to talk about this particular matter ,   this emptiness  ) ,   normally ,   but this calls for honesty :   he was honest ,   first ,   and now she will be.          ‘  i understand the feeling.   i am not sure what you’ve been through ,   to cause you to feel that way     –––     and i won’t ask ,   if you do not wish to share     –––     but i understand.  ‘

                         she is tired, energy   drained,   her eyes losing the usual   glint   they have. she has been upon this ship for   too   long.   she has seen alderaan being   destroyed,   her father not being able to make contact with her, her mother   dead.   mourning is not am option for princess leia, but perhaps her little self, the kid growing up in a   loving   home, supportive home,   beautiful   home can mourn within her. cry if she needs to, scream   &   shout   to let all her anger out, all those   emotions   that flow within veins   &   brain. all the emotions she can not show in front of   darth   vader.   because she is thee   heart   of the rebellion, the face, the spirit, the   leader.   she is laying in her cell, only her breathing to be heard when the door opens. she almost   spits   the poison gathering upon her tongue just by seeing   him.

She was unused to a human body. They were so limiting, in terms of emotions, in terms of knowledge. She could recall things, of course, but most of her knowledge was set to sleep mode, only made available when she needed it. However, there was one thing she would never forget, temporarily or not.
