Today I drew one of my tundras as a baby. He’s one of my first gens from the eggs I hatched the day of the color wheel expansion. I was sooo lucky with the colors.

One of my spirals, her name is noctulicent, I used a triscatter scroll on her because her tertiary was swamp (swamp loves to do that kind of thing) and then I bought her some new genes. Now she’s my fire spiral.

(( Yes, Delion Tetch is his name, and actually he is on tumblr already.

First of all I want to thank you for this question – it makes me always very happy to see that my followers are interested in the background I created for this character. I’m still a bit unsure about it since it’s just my headcanon and I don’t know does any of it make any sense or interest people, so I hope you understand I’m more than glad to see someone’s interested :).

And then again this question terrifies me. Delion is my creation and I have to admit – even though I like bad guys and the more complicated the character is the more he/she interest me, I’m afraid of him. Not almost as much as Jervis, but very, very afraid.

Delion is five years older than Jervis and when Jervis was born the five-yar-old Del was more or less fucked up. I’m still not sure what triggered his violent behaviour because their parents weren’t violent and his older siblings (Alaire and Roana) both behaved well, but nevertheless he started to treat his little brother very badly.

Jervis’ looks disgusted him, his words annoyed him and the shy behaviour frustrated him. Delion was sickened by the close relationship between Roana and Jervis (he often thought it was more than just brotherly love Jervis had for Roana) and pretty much everything Jervis did drove Delion insanely mad.

He tortured him verbally and physically, even sexually abused him for no reason. Jervis never started the fight or annoyed Delion with a purpose. It seemed like his very presence made his older brother out of his mind.

But it wasn’t only Jervis he terrorised. When Kalev, the youngest one was born, Delion bullied him too. Roana also had her part of his fury, and their parents too. Their mother was afraid of him and because she never wanted to upset him, Delion became one of her favourites. Del never knew their father that well and therefore there weren’t that much negative encounters between them. Also Alaire, the oldest of the Tetch kids, was the only one to gain his respect. Alaire was the only one he never attacked or said a rude word to.

Delion’s behaviour made Jervis create his other personality, the Mad Hatter, and it became his life when their sister died. And after her demise Jervis finally had his revenge: he killed Delion’s sons at his very first tea-party.

So I hope you understand why Jervis is afraid of him and why they don’t like each other – at all.
