Hoppy: *vaguely disturbed* every once in a while I will be heading to the kitchen for a glass of water at 2:00 in the morning I hear his claws scratching against the wall as he travels up it and climbs onto the ceiling. Other than that it’s dead silent. *smug face* Dogday’s room however—

If Catnap were pregnant, IF HE WERE, what would the other critters' reactions be? Especially Dogday's?

It would be mass confusion/panic for everyone except Catnap. none of them would feel prepared to raise a BABY. They've taken care of toddlers, sure, but a baby is uncharted territory. Plus they're all young adults so they would all feel very unprepared.

And considering Dogday would most likely be the reason for this happening, he would panic the most.

Meanwhile Catnap, who was left with babies a lot and knows how to take care of their needs and wants, would sit there the whole time looking like this:

The Critters Opinions on Catnap!

Crafty: She's definitely a bit wary at first, but they start talking again within the second week of Catnap being there. Crafty was one of the critters who also did some bad stuff so she got over any grudge she had against Catnap before he even got there. Has him pose for her when she has art block and took him shopping for clothing, without Dogday's permission lmao.

Picky: Had to take a bit of time to process, about a month before really having any sort of conversation with Catnap. But not because of him killing her, she understands that was nessassary, but more so that she kinda forgot he existed for a while… Picky ends up being the one who makes sure Catnap doesn't starve himself, so she definitely doesn't hate him. She even brings him out to the garden sometime for him to help with gardening since she's not the best at it and Catnap is the plant guy.

Bobby: Very, VERY conflicted. Doesn't trust Catnap and can't bare to look at him sometimes... However, she feels like something really bad is going to happen to him if she doesn't keep an eye out. Bobby misses Cat dearly, but she can't forgive what he's done to them all yet.

Bubba: THE pure neutral in this situation. Doesn't like nor dislike Catnap, as he forced out most memories he had of the factory to stay functional. Bubba still remembers it all, he made sure to write it in a journal and everything, it's not something you should forget. However, everyone has changed so much he threw out all past opinion on his friends and started from scratch. Won't talk to Catnap for a while, but Catnap has become a new person to Bubba, and he really dgaf about everyone's grudge against Catnap. The elephant decided to do the responsible thing and start on clean slate with Cat, he's not gonna let their past together define who they are to each other now.

Kicken: Doesn't hate him, just... Needs some time to think... Preferably without having the topic of Catnap mentioned or anything related to him. Kicken's got more important things to worry about.

Hoppy: Don't talk about him with her.

Dogday: Fucking hates him. Apart of him is yearning, but his bloodlust and newly discovered apathy drowns it out completely. Dogday wants Catnap to cower in fear at the sight of him, to beg, to plead, to cry and sob until he loses his voice and breaks his vocal cords. The dog wants Cat to HURT, but he's not cruel enough to take it that far. Unfortunately for him, his hate slowly fizzles out into something worse. Dogday wishes he wasn't like this but he hasn't got a clue on how to fix himself. At least it doesn't seem he's doing too much harm to Catnap, right?

Catnap: Well if there's anyone who despises Cat the most it's always gonna be himself lmao. Motherfucker has barely had a day in his life where his internal self-loathing doesn't attack him, he DISGUSTS himself. In the start it wasn't that bad, even if his former friends all hated him it was always the plan to get them out even though this wasn't the best outcome of that. Though, as time went on it got draining. Cat loves his friends but... He's got the message that once he's helped them get back on their feet theres no reason for him to exist anymore. Everyday he feels more and more willing to kill the cat he should’ve killed years ago. He feels shame in how Dogday still looks at him after Cat proved himself not worth saving.
