Finally drew up some refs for my main ladies of the story! The three Goddesses, daughters of the goddess Sky, watch over the world, maintaining control over the day/night cycle as well as watching over their mothers sky.

(EDIT: the goddess have been renamed to Rou'Aur, Rou'Kuu, and Rou'Tah respectively. The closest equivalent to their names would be 'Lady of the Sun/Moon/Stars')

For Tähtis design I originally was going to keep her looking a bit more snow leopard looking by having the typical snow leopard spotting be stars rather than spots but while i was sketching her i though it would be cute if she had tail stars correlating with a constellation and it spiraled from there

Aurinko I wanted to be a lion because of their manes looking like fire (Obvious connection tbf) but I also wanted the big three to all be girls so babang trans goddess ('oh well if shes trans why does she keep the mane' gender fuckery shut up)

Kuu is my favourite of the three,,, my blorbo if you will. shes got some hehe funny stuff going on in the plot that I don't wanna spoil too hard but for design notes nothing major, her pelt changes alongside the phases of the moon, so if its a new moon, shes all black, full moon all white, etc etc. I love her

They're all daughters of sky, kuu and tähti are daughters of sky and the goddess death, while aurinko is the child of sky and life.

Due to the fact the great three goddesses are all cats, felines of this world tend to have an inflated sense of ego, as well as a sense of personal importance, though the rest of the world feels rather neutral to most of them.

Aster meets all three of them on his quest to return his brother to life, though he has an especially close relationship to Aurinko, who gave him his powers.

Deity Dump!! Working on a new story set in a new world and I've been hashing out a pantheon slowly but surely. The first three are their pantheons 'big three', they're in charge of the others, and the main citystates of the world are their biggest centers of worship, having large temples dedicated to them, while the others mostly have small churches and shrines.

Deities and their domains in order of appearance

Tähti - Snow Leopard

Goddess of the stars, she's is the sister of Kuu and together they rule the night sky, though lately Kuu has been strangely absent.

Kuu - Caracal

Goddess of the moon, she has the smallest temple of the three, and lately many priests of Kuu have been found wandering far afield from their citystate

Aurinko - Lioness

Goddess of the sun, she's the sole ruler of the daytime, and is the most friendly of the big three, she has the largest temple and communicates regularly with mortals

Fatemaker - Spider

Fatemaker is similar to the fates in greek mythology, they weave a web that involves every mortals lives, making sure that everyone follows their destiny

Unnamed lol - Flying Fox Bat

The god of the dead, he is a large bat who watches over the dead, making sure their afterlives are safe and enjoyable

Grim - Belgian sheepdog

Grim is not a god but instead the psychopomp of the world, his job is to fetch recently deceased souls and bring them to the afterlife.
