AMBER’S THOUGHTS:

VALENTINE’S DINNER (CONTINUATION): Amber kissed him deeply. “Ready for our night?” Derek asked. “If it means enjoying your presence, I’m always ready…” Amber said. “Good to know…” Derek smiled. “How long were you planning this?” Amber asked. “For some time…” Derek said. “You actually thought that I wouldn’t be here in Valentine’s Day and your birthday?” “Well, you have work to do…” Amber said. “You’re more important!” Derek kissed her forehead. “I can manage myself…” “You’re getting too tired…” Amber said. “Don’t try to convince me otherwise.” “That happens because I’m doing everything, I love…” Derek said smiling. “But that doesn’t mean you can stop taking care of yourself…” Amber said. “You need to rest, eat properly…” Derek kisses her and they stay that way for a long time, he did not want to talk about how tired he was, the only thing he wanted was to spend some time with Amber. “We should sit down…” Derek said smiling. “I wanted to stay hugging you a little more…” Amber said. Amber heard Derek chuckle and she could not be happier. “You know we’re not alone, right?” Derek asked. Amber stepped away so fast and started looking for anyone but she did not find anyone, until a chef got out of the kitchen. “The dinner is ready…” The chef said smiling. “Sit down and give me a second…” They waited until he disappeared in the kitchen again. “Poor guy he should be with his wife.” Amber said. “We’re only here for an hour and a half!” Derek said. “I have other things planned during this dinner.” “Like what?” Amber asked curious. “It’s a surprise…” Derek said pointing to the table. Derek helped her sit and before he went to his seat, he put a necklace in her neck, which made her gasp with surprise. “How did…” Amber tried to say. “A beautiful surprise for a beautiful woman!” Derek said before going to sit in front of her. “It matches the ring I gave you!” “It’s beautiful…” Amber grabbed his hand. “I don’t have anything for you…” “You gave me everything I need…” Derek said smiling. “I need you to stop being so perfect…” Amber said. “You’re making me look bad.” “I’m perfect for you and that’s all that matters.” Derek said. The chef got out of the kitchen with a few plates in each hand. “Here I base each plate on the indications you gave, I hope both of you enjoy it” The chef places the plates in front of Amber and Derek. “If you need anything ring the bell.” He left them alone again and Amber was very curious. “How did you make that happen?” Amber pointed to the kitchen. “I have a lot of connections, you know that.” Derek smiles. “Try it I tried to make an experiment.” “What?” Amber said surprise looking at her plate. “Do you trust me?” Derek said. “I’m thinking about it…” Amber tried to smell the food in her plate. Derek started smiling before grabbing her fork, picked a piece of food and tried to feed her. “You’re lucky that I love you!” Amber said before letting Derek feed her. “I know….” Derek said smiling. “I love you too!” Amber finally tasted the food while her eyes were locked on Derek’s and the food was so good that she smiled so hard. “Oh my God… you have to taste it!” Amber said before seeing Derek picking up his fork to taste the food. . “No, I’ll feed you…” Derek looked at her surprised. “What? You fed me, so I can feed you…” Amber said. “It’s valentine’s day so I want to take care of you too and show you what you mean to me.” Derek tested the food that she fed him and smiled at her, he couldn’t stop looking at her eyes. “I need to confess something….” Derek said. “Something’s wrong?” Amber asked. “I failed you…” He said ashamed. “Hey…” Amber took his hand. “What happened?” “I told Mark that you were pregnant…” Derek avoided her eyes. Amber didn’t know he would feel so guilty, she got up her seat a pulled him from his seat and made him look at her. “I’m the one who should be sorry…” Amber admitted. “I told him first, I needed you to have someone to talk about all this” Amber was so focused in his eyes that she could see all his confusion. “I know how hard it is to you not being able to tell him, he’s your best friend…” Amber saw his eyes tearing up. “No, no, no, no…. I’m sorry…” She hugged him and he hid his face in her neck and she could feel his tears in her skin. “It was supposed to bring you joy, not this…” Amber said. “Der…” Derek stayed in her arms for a few more minutes and she couldn’t be more nervous for his reaction, when he stepped back, he just kissed her so sweetly that she had to control herself to no start crying too. “I thought I would lose you twice this week…” Derek admitted it. “Baby, no…” Amber said kissing him again. “Mark insinuated that you were dumping me, and I completely lost my mind!” Derek said. “I was with Cheryl and Emma, they thought I got crazy…” “I can't believe that I helped him prank you but believe me I didn’t knew he insinuated that!” Amber said holding his face near hers. “I love you so much…” Derek admitted. “Afterwards I thought I broke your trust by telling him that you were pregnant…” “Der, listen to me” Amber said. “Even if I didn’t tell him and you ended up telling him first, I would never stop trusting you or leave you because of it.” “You wouldn’t?” Derek asked. “No, what got you so insecure about us?” Amber asked. “Someone told me about the fact that I’m always away from you, it would mess with us and then I started thinking that I’m always away when you need me the most” Derek took a deep breath. “I just feel guilty…” “Look at me…” Amber asked. “I would love nothing more than have you by my side every single moment but we both know that our lifestyle it would be very difficult but that doesn’t change how I feel about you.” Derek smiled shyly to her. “I still love you, you could be in the other side of the world that you still would be the most important person of my life, my love for you is so strong, don’t ever doubt that!” Amber said pecking in on the nose. “I feel the same way, without you, it’s like a part of me is missing” Derek said kissing her passionately. “I wish I could take you home already…” “Well, we just have to eat fast and then I’ll be all yours…” Amber said. “You look gorgeous in that outfit!” Derek said. “You’re finally using it.” “Just for you…” Amber said. “I’m glad.” Derek smiled. Both of them stepped away from each other and went to the dining table to eat their dinner a enjoy each other companies before heading home. THEIR BEDROOM: Derek got upstairs so fast that Amber got a hard time to keep up but when she got to the bedroom's door, she just saw Derek laid on the bed. “Are you tired?” Amber asked. “No…” Derek said. “I just missed our bed so much.” “Really?” Amber asked surprised. “Well, what I missed most was having you in the same bed as me.” Derek admitted. Amber went near him a pulled him up, do now Derek was in front at her looking her deep in the eyes and she took his jacket. “You look so handsome in this suit but let me take care of you…” Amber said smiling. She was so excited to have in front of her again, the moment she started to unbutton his shirt and Derek’s breathing changed immediately. “You’re the best gift I could have…” Amber admitted. “I’m just one of them…” Derek said smiling. “It’s so good to be home!” Amber took his shirt off and she admired his chest before going to his jeans and started to unbuckle his belt, soon after, Derek was naked in front of her. “Come with me…” Amber pulled him to their bathroom. As soon as she closed the door, she could see the depth of Derek’s feelings for her. “We’re going to take a shower and I’m going the enjoy every piece of you” Amber said smiling. “I want to show you how much you mean to me…” “Let me undress you…” Derek asked. “I need to touch you!” Amber smiled and nodded to Derek and without warning he was already next to her taking of her earrings. “You’re so beautiful.” Derek said. Derek grabbed her dress and took it like it was a t-shirt before heading to her bra. “Your mine…” Derek said. “Only mine…” “Yes…” Amber whispered. Within seconds Amber was naked and being pulled to the shower with Derek, he turned on the water and waited until it was at a temperature that both would enjoy and then they got in there. Amber picked the soap and started rubbing Derek chest while he rested his hand on her waist. “I missed this…” Amber said. “Taking care of you!” “I don’t want to leave you again…” Derek said. “It doesn’t matter how we miss each other…” Amber said. “It’s our jobs to be some days here other days there but the only thing that will always remain the same is that no matter what happens or where we are, we’re always be there for each other” “It doesn’t mean I have to like it…” Derek said. “Turn around baby…” Amber said when she was done washing his chest. Derek was with his back to her while she washed his back, after she was done, he felt her hands going down to his manhood. “Don’t…” Derek whispered. Amber freezes. “I won’t be able to keep it together…” Derek said embarrassed. “It has been too long without you.” “Since when do you do that around me?” Amber asked worried. “Babe…” Derek said. “You’re pregnant…” “What does our baby have to do with it?” Amber asked. “Do you remember the last time we were together?” Derek asked. “It was the night where you left me in New York alone.” “Der…” Amber whispered. “I don’t want that to happen again!” Derek admitted. “Is that why when I told you that I was pregnant you didn’t want to make love to me?” Amber whispered insecure. “You thought I would leave you?” “You don’t understand how broken I was when I realized that that you left me in the middle of the night” Derek admitted. “I had prepared a beautiful breakfast, I thought about how I wanted to say goodbye and how I would show you how much you meant to me and that it was just going to be a phase.” “I just couldn’t face you knowing that you couldn't be home with me.” Amber said. “I’m sorry I didn’t think about how you would feel.” Amber couldn’t stop the tears from falling and Derek hugged her. “I’m sorry I didn’t want to hurt you.” Derek said worried. “I’m the one who hurt you…” Amber said hiding her face in his neck. “Can you forgive me?” “I forgave you the moment you picked up the phone that evening.” Derek said hugging her tight. “I heard in your voice the same pain I was feeling.” “I spent a few days without getting out of our bed…” Amber admitted. “I never cried so much.” “Please stop crying…” Derek begged. “I don’t like seeing you like this, and it’s breaking my heart.” “Hold me…” Amber asked. “Gladly…” Derek pressed his body against hers. “As you can confirm, I didn’t stop wanting you, I do want you, more than ever before.” “I know, you should just have talked to me before, I thought you weren’t attracted to me no more because I became pregnant!” “That’s impossible.” Derek blushed. “It has been so long that I’m afraid I might hurt you.” “You would never hurt me…” Amber said stepping away from Derek and tried to look him in the eyes. “I’m having doubts I can control myself.” Derek admitted. “Do you want to go to bed?” Amber asked worried. “No, I still want to wash you…” Derek smiled. “If you don’t mind…” “I don’t baby…” Amber said smiling. “I just want to make you happy and see you smile again…” “So first you finish washing me, then I wash you and then we go to bed!” Derek said full of confidence. When Amber pick the soap again, she took a deep breath. “Everywhere, this time I won’t stop you.” Derek said nervous. “I just want your hands all over me!” Amber smiled before giving him a passionate kiss on the lips. After 10 minutes both were already in bed looking at each other the she just couldn’t stop playing with his hair. “Happy Birthday Baby!” Derek said kissing her deeply on the lips and before stepping away gave her a peck on her nose. “The first of many birthdays together.” “I love you…” Amber smiled completely in love with the man in front of her. “I love you more.” Derek said. “Mr. Hough how can you be so perfect?” Amber asked. “Babe, I’m far away from perfect.” Derek said getting near her. “You’re perfect for me” Amber said before receiving Derek’s lips for another passionate kiss. They kissed a long time before Derek stopped, he was almost on top of her. “I want to make love to you so much…” Derek said with a worried expression on his face. “Make love to me.” Amber whispered in his ear. Derek eyes were so intense looking at her, she thinks he was trying to see if he would find any doubt on her eyes, but she just smiled. “Everything that happens between us is pure love…” Amber said biting his ear. “If you need to be more aggressive in bed, you talk to me, we do it the way you need, you want to know why?” Derek nodded yes and waited for Amber to continue. “Because I trust you…” Amber smiled. “I know I will love it because there’s nothing more that I love than being with you.” Derek didn’t know what to say. “The same way I know if I came to you and asked you to do something because I might need it, I know you would do it, because I was asking you to do it with me.” Amber said. “As long as we do it together, there is nothing we can’t do, we just talk to each other and enjoy each other.” Derek jumped of top of Amber and kissed her neck. “So, I’m going to tell how it’s going to be…” Derek said smiling and gave a peck on her nose. “We’re going to make love the only way we know how, with our heart in it, we will enjoy each other in a way that we never did before because I don’t need to be aggressive to be satisfied, I just need to be loved” “Der…” Amber whispered. “In the future we will see, and you’re right, the important thing is that no matter what we do, we do it together.” Derek smiled. “I thought I was going to lose control with you, but I was mistaken, I was overwhelmed because my love for you was just showing me how much you mean to me and how much I need you.” “I need you too.” Amber admitted. “I love you”. “I’m going to enjoy every single moment with you, I’ll see in your eyes the reflection of mine, where our love will be united, and we will become one.” Derek said biting her neck. “I love you!” Derek and Amber made love for a long time and they found time for a second round, falling asleep right after. IN THE MORNING: Amber had to get out of bed for two times because of her morning sickness and every time she steps out of bed, Derek was right there with her. After a few more hours Amber was looking at Derek while he slept right next to her with his arms around her. She waited for so long to be in his arms again, and this was the best birthday gift she could ever asked for, Amber kissed Derek chest near his heart. Derek opened his eyes slowly. “Are you feeling sick again?” Derek asked worried. “No!” Amber smiled at him. “Can we stay like this forever?” Derek asked. “We can…” Amber smiled and kissed him lightly on the lips. “Thank you.” Derek said. “For what?” Amber played with his hair. “For listening, calming me down…” Derek took a deep breath. “For being everything, I need.” “Always…” Amber smiled at him. “You know I should more secure but when it comes to you I just…” Derek whispered. “I can’t think straight…” “You know between you and me, you’re the gorgeous dancer that everyone thinks doesn’t have a heart and is a pure playboy, but I only see my Derek.” Amber smiled. “My boyfriend, my man, my baby daddy, my Derek…” “I’m yours…” Derek smiled. “There’s only one thing that is bothering me in your signs of possession that you have over me.” “What?” Amber asked surprised. “I want to be more than your boyfriend…” Derek said. “I can’t stop thinking of us together and married as a family where everyone will know that you’re mine.” “You only want to marry me because of the baby.” Amber said. “No, I want to marry you for some time now, even before the baby I knew you are the one…” Derek said quickly. “Mark can confirm what I’m saying!” “Baby…” Amber whispered. “Why do you think I gave you this ring?” Derek grabbed her hand and played with the white ring he gave her and placed her hand in his heart. “In was like a promise that next time I would offer you a ring it would be for real…” Amber could feel his heart racing and she knew he was being sincere. “I just want to make sure that you know that I planned a future for us…” Derek said. “I see us as a family!” “I see us as a family too…” Amber admitted. “That’s why Mark has been calling me Mrs. Hough for months?” Derek smiled embarrassed. “Yes, let’s just say since the first time I mentioned this topic to him, he has been messing with my head…” Derek said avoiding looking at her. “I’ll kick his ass if he kept messing with you.” Amber said. “He won’t able to do anything because I’m pregnant and I will make him feel guilty until I forget that he has been messing with you.” Derek chuckled a little and kissed her. “Do you see us married one day?” Derek asked. “I do…” Amber said smiling. “Besides if you want to propose you need to make it unforgettable.” “I will ask you sooner than you think….” Derek confessed. “I know…” Amber said. “Has to be romantic and unforgettable!” “It will.” Derek smiled. “Then I can tell everyone how amazing you are just by how you proposed…” Amber smiled. “Then our kids will know the true meaning of love.” “Kids?” Derek got on top of her. “How many?” “I don’t know maybe two or three” Amber said seeing the passion in his eyes. “No baby, four kids…” Derek said. “It’s the magic number.” “We will see…” Amber said smiling. “I think we should start practicing…” Derek smiled. “To make sure we don’t lose momentum…” “You’re lucky that I love you…” Amber said kissing him. “I know…” Derek whispered to her before returning to kissing her. The made love again and enjoyed more time alone. LIVING ROOM: Amber was in the kitchen preparing the living room to receive her family and friends for lunch, well she was ordering Derek to the stuff since he didn’t let her do anything. “Der, I can help…” Amber said seeing him moving the couch. “Let me…” Derek said behind the couch. “Thank God it’s just lunch…” Amber said. “If I knew you would be here, I would reschedule everything and spend all this time just enjoying you…” “We still have time…” Derek smiled walking back to Amber. “So, when will you start recording for glee again.” “I didn’t accept yet.” Amber confessed. “Why?” Derek asked surprised. “You know why!” Amber said sad. “You don’t have to worry about me I love you and I trust you.” Derek said. “You want to go back, you should do it” “But…” Amber tried to justify herself. “No babe, we support each other.” Derek said smiling. “Like a very wise woman said to me in many occasions last night, we talk about everything, we trust each other, and we will handle it together…” “You shouldn’t be using my own words against me.” Amber said putting her arms around his waist. “Like I said a very wise woman.” Derek said kissing her nose. “And you’re returning to the show?” Amber asked. “I don’t know, they said they have someone in mind that will challenge me but I’m still waiting.” Derek confessed. “Can I choose what you’re going to be wearing for lunch?” Amber asked. “I want to spend every moment possible taking care of you.” “You choose mine and I will choose yours…” Derek said smiling. “Deal!” Amber said. “Where do you want the table?” Derek asked stepping away from her. “No…” Amber complained. “I want my kisses first…” Derek laughed and came back to Amber and started kissing her shoulder and went up to her neck, biting her ear before going to her lips. “I have a better idea…” Derek whispered to her. He picked her up and went to the middle of the living room and laid her down of the floor before and started making out with her. Amber couldn’t hear her phone since it was in their bed, but someone was calling her, the screen showed one name, Nina.

Black History Fact Of The Day

On November 26, 2013 Amber Riley (best know for her roles on Glee, The Wiz Live! as well as various roles in theater musicals) became the season 17 winner of Dancing With The Stars, making her the first & only Black woman to ever win the mirror ball trophy in the show’s history. She was a fan & judge favorite throughout the season never scoring below 8/10 over the course of the 12 week season. Another notable fact is that she was the first plus size winner breaking the boundaries and stereotypes that surrounds people with her body type that say big people (especially women) can’t dance, be athletic and be sexy. Overall a prime example of #Black Girl Magic✨.

31. My Babies (Part 1) || One Day At A Time

DEREK’S THOUGHTS:

“I can’t get late… I don’t want to miss this…“

CLINIC’S WAITING ROOM:

Amber is waiting for Derek to call her, she knew it would not be always like that but she could not be more nervous, actually, this was the first appointment in the obstetrician and that was freaking her out.

“Miss Amber Riley…” A nurse came to the waiting room and Amber got up. “It’s your turn now.”

The nurse took her to the doctor's room where she would meet her doctor but the fact she was there alone did not help, Derek did not say anything since yesterday.

The doctor got into the room.

“Hi…” The Doctor said. “I’m Doctor Danielle Croes.”

“Hi, I’m Amber!” Amber said smiling.

“So before we start, I want to know how you are feeling about becoming a mom.” Danielle said.

“I’m nervous but I think it’s normal.” Amber answered.

“The father will be present?” The Doctor asked.

“Yes, we have pretty busy schedule!” Amber tried to apologize.

“Let’s lay down in the table but don’t worry it’s very comfy…” The Doctor said. “Did someone recommend me or you found me in your research?”  

“My Doctor recommended you, Kai Porter…” Amber said.

“I like him…” Danielle said smiling before someone knocked on her door. “Yes?”

She saw a blond man get into the room and she knew his face for somewhere but she did not know where.

“Sorry, I’m late…” Derek said getting right next to Amber and squeezed her hand.

“I thought you would not come today!” Amber said.

“I couldn’t let you do this alone and I promised to be with you every step of the way.” Derek said.

“Your flight was during the night?” Amber asked. “Did you told them?”

“Well they don’t know that I’m here…” Derek said. “Besides I have Cheryl covering for me!”  

“You told her?” Amber asked.

“No, only said that it was very important and had to do with you…” Derek smiles. “She thinks we fought and that I’m just trying to make amends”

“I hope she doesn’t get mad when she finds out!” Amber said.

“You’re more important…” Derek said. “The problem is that right after this I have to go…”

“I’m just happy that you were able to make it!” Amber smiled.

“I’m glad to see that you’re here but it’s important that you are able to be present during all this process…” Danielle said. “I’m Danielle Croes, I’ll be your wife’s Doctor if she decides to have me as her obstetrician!”

Amber was about to correct her but Derek intervene first.

“I don’t pretend to leave my wife alone…” Derek said squeezing her hand. “I have been travelling across the country even if I’m not able to come here she will have someone with her…”

“I know it sounds that I’m reprimanding you but I wouldn’t do my job if I didn’t tell you this!” Danielle kept talking while getting Amber ready. “You would be surprise for the number of fathers that run away at the moment that they ear the heartbeat of their child…”  

Derek kept listening but he could only think of Amber who was smiling at him and he could not avoid smiling back.

“So…” Danielle looked at them and smiled. “Am I interrupting something?”

Danielle got up and went to get a few papers from her desk.

“If you need to be alone just tell me…” Danielle kept talking. “I can feel the sexual tension from here…”

Derek was embarrassed but could not avoid smiling.

After Danielle finished with Amber, she and Derek where left alone in the office for a few minutes.

“What do you think?” Derek asked.  

“I like her…” Amber said kissing him softly.

“So we need to make is to schedule the next appointment” Derek smiled and hugged her. “I’ll have to go after this but there’s nothing I would enjoy more that spending time with you…”

“I know that…” Amber said.

“You need to talk to your parents and let me tell my parents…” Derek said. “Someone needs to know while I’m not here and Dianna is too busy to keep an eye on you.”

“I will tell them don’t worry…” Amber said.

Derek hugged her so tight that she laughed when she heard his stomach roar. Amber enjoyed being in his arms again.

“I missed you…” Amber said. "But you need to eat something."

Danielle enters the room, found them holding each other, and smiled.

“I can see that you two actually love each other…” Danielle said.

“We do…” Derek said.

“Well I already have the information about the mother but it is missing information about the father…” Danielle said giving him the form Amber had to fill previously.

“You could fill my data…” Derek said.  

“There’s things I don’t remember and I asked if you could fill that information later, they said you could.” Amber smiled.

Derek started filling the form while Danielle talked to Amber.

“Everything is normal, as you know you’re almost two months pregnant…” Danielle said. “As someone probably told you before, we advise you to keep the pregnancy a secret from your friends until the second trimester just as a precaution since most abortions happen during the first three months.”

“She can tell our parents right?” Derek asks.

“She should, your parents can know even to help you if you need anything, it just because with people outside your intimate circle, it can cause a little stress for the mother with all the questions and with everyone being excited…” Danielle smiled.

“Done, all my information is there now.” Derek said.

“So we should schedule our next appointment?” Amber asked.

“I’ll follow you outside and we schedule that appointment.” Danielle got up. “I’m glad you want to keep me as your obstetrician!”

Danielle went outside with Derek and Amber and help them with some doubts that they had, the scheduled their next appointment and Amber said her goodbyes to Derek before his departure to the airport.

AMBER PARENT’S HOUSE:

Two days for Amber's birthday but she could not be more nervous, the weird part is that she would not be able to be with Derek since he has a show on the 17th in Bismarck, North Dakota.

“So how’s everything in work?” Elwin asked.

“It’s alright…” Amber smiled before finishing her dessert. “They want me back for more episodes…”

“That’s good right?” Elwin asked.

“It is, dad…” Amber said.

Tiny came to the dining table and sat to talk to her daughter.

“So are you going to tell us what’s so important?” Tiny asked.

“I will but first I need to listen everything I say and then I can answer questions…” Amber said nervous. “Do we have an agreement?”

“Just talk, you’re getting me nervous now…” Tiny said.

“Fine…” Amber took a deep breath. “I’m pregnant…”

Amber parents were in shock because none of them reacted, they just stood there looking at her.

“Can you say something?” Amber asked.

Amber waited a few more minutes and since they did not say anything, she went to get glasses of water for everyone.  

“Who’s the father?” Tiny asked when Amber sat.

“Seriously? It’s Derek…” Amber said offended.

“But you two broke up….” Tiny said.

“No we didn’t…” Amber was nervous and looked at her father. “We pretended to break up to catch the person behind those attacks.”

“So when you were crying…” Tiny tried to understand.

“It was real! I avoided talking to him because it would made everything easier and it was one of the most difficult things I had to do!” Amber said.

“We thought that if they thought we weren’t together, they would at least stop the attacks, it would give us time to think of a plan without worrying about each other.” Amber said.

Amber got up and went to sit right next to her dad because he did not say anything at all.

“Dad…” Amber said nervous. “Derek and I needed to do that…”

Elwin looked at his daughter.

“I’m sorry that I made you suffer because of this, I didn’t think it would hit me so hard.” Amber insisted.

“Amber I knew everything…” Elwin said. “I just didn't know about the baby!”

Amber was in shock - what the hell, how did he knew that? – she looked at her mother and she was has much surprised as her.

“What?” Amber asked.

“Derek called me a few days before your supposed break up, he explained everything and he tried to keep me from going after him and shoot him!” Elwin said.  

“Why didn’t you say anything?” Amber asked.

“It had to be believable.” Elwin said. “That's why I insisted that your mother would keep an eye on you.”

Tiny looked at her husband and started to hit him.

“You should have told me that…” Tiny said nervous.  

“And now you’re pregnant…” Elwin said. “Does he know?”

“He does…” Amber smiled. “…and he’s very excited!”

“I’m going to be a grandma!” Tiny said surprised. “…again”

“Yes…” Amber said.

Tiny got up and went to give a hug to her daughter while Elwin was too calm for all the news Amber was sharing.

“How about the future?” Elwin asked.

“What do you mean?” Amber asked.

“You still working, you’re not married, you still have a lot of dreams…” Elwin said.

“I’m working until I can besides, Derek works too…” Amber got surprised about the marriage worry. “We never talked about us getting married!”

“Maybe you should!” Tiny said.

“Calm down, marriage is too serious…” Amber said. “I only know Derek for 9 months.”

“It was enough to make a baby!” Elwin said. “It’s enough to marriage now…”

“It’s too soon…” Amber said.

“It’s not like you have a lot of time before the child is born…” Elwin said.  

“Dad…” Amber got up. “I’m going to leave now because you’re pissing me off and I need to keep my nerves low.”

“Sweetie…” Elwin tried to say.

“This stays between us…” Amber said. “Only a few people know, doctors’ orders!”

“You shouldn’t be alone in that house…” Tiny said.

“Mom, I can handle myself…” Amber said. “I have Derek check up on me by the phone and skype…”

Elwin got up worried.

“I have Dianna and Mark always around…” Amber knew she should not lie.

“Who’s Mark?” Elwin asked. "The one that dances too?"  

“Yes, he's Derek’s best friend…” Amber has planned to meet Mark for lunch to tell him about their pregnancy; it was not fair to Derek not being able to talk about this with someone while she had Dianna.

“I would rather for you to live here when Derek’s out of town…” Tiny said.

“Mom…” Amber hugged her. “Calm down, I’m fine, everything is fine…”

“You can call us at any time…” Elwin said.

“Thanks Dad…” Amber smiled. “Now I have to go to a very important meeting!”

Amber said her goodbyes and went to meet Mark at a coffee shop.

COFFEE SHOP:

Mark was waiting on Amber, he thought it was weird that she needed to talk to him with such urgency and he noticed Derek has been acting weird.

Amber got in happy when she caught Mark in her sight.

“Hey Mrs. Hough!” Mark smiled.

“Hey…” Amber smiled. “I know you have been calling me that for some time now but not today…”

Mark got worried for a minute and started texting someone - bro, what have you done to amber?.

“Don’t ask, it has my parents involved…” Amber said smiling. “So tell me how are you doing?”

“I’m good planning the future…”  Mark said.

“It’s that album that Derek keeps talking about?” Amber asked.

“Yes…” Mark said, “… but for now is a secret!”

“Don’t worry I won’t tell nobody.” Amber smiled after asking a coffee and a few cookies.

“I’m so hungry…” Amber said.

“Didn’t you ate with your parents?” Mark asked.

“I did but I saw those cookies and I needed to eat them!” Amber smiled. “I’m here to talk to you about something very important!”  

“Now, you got me nervous…” Mark said before the waiter bring their requests.

“It’s about me and Derek…” Amber said.

“What did he do?” Mark asked convinced the he screw it up again. "I can kick his ass, you know..."

“Actually we made a baby…” Amber waited to see his reaction.

Mark was in shock with the news that Amber was telling him, he knew that was why Derek was thinking in getting married.

“Congratulations…” Mark went to hug her.

“Thanks…” Amber said. “I want you to know this because I told Derek to keep it a secret.”  

“Well he didn’t tell me anything…” Mark said.

“I just want you to know because I have someone I can talk about this and it’s not fair of me to keep him from having that!” Amber smiled. “He needs someone to talk to outside of our relationship and I know he will end up telling you!”

“I’m sorry I know I look a little troubled but I’m really happy for you guys.” Mark said. “That’s why he has been so weird asking me to check on you.”

“Yes…” Amber took his hand. “I’m sorry I shouldn’t have made Derek keep this away from you…”

“Don’t worry…” Mark said. “It’s your relationship; you do what’s best for both of you!”

“But you’re like his brother and he cares a lot about you, I could see it was bothering him not telling you this.” Amber said. “You’re my family too and most important part I trust you”

“Thank for telling me that…” Mark smiled.

“But let him tell you the news…” Amber smiled. "I don't want him to know that we talked about this."

“Oh don’t worry I have the perfect way for him to tell me…” Mark said.

“Should I be worried?” Amber asked.

“Absolutely not…” Mark said.

Mark smiled and took his phone out, so he could prank Derek.

“Come help me prank him!” Mark said.

Amber got up and sat right next to him and the smiled looking to Mark’s phone.

“He’s going to be so jealous.” Mark smiled to his phone.

“Don’t make regret this!” Amber said this checking her phone.

“He doesn’t believe me....” Mark said.

“I need to go to the bathroom but in case he needs something real tell him about my white ring…” Amber smiled. “You will have him with that”

Mark smiled watching Amber getting inside the coffee shop.

After she came back, he was already smiling.

“Did you get him?” Amber asked sipping her juice.

“Yes, look…” Mark said giving her, his phone.

While Amber was regretting the prank while reading his messages, she could not avoid smiling for his dorkiness.

Both Mark and Amber kept talking about the pregnancy and especially about the fact that Derek was not going to be there for her anniversary or Valentine’s Day. It was making her sadder then she thought. She never had good experiences in Valentine’s Day so the thought that she should have to wait for next year was killing her.

FORT ABRAHAM LINCOLN STATE PARK (BISMARCK, NORTH DAKOTA):

Derek was visiting the park with Cheryl and Emma before rehearsals when he got a weird text from Mark.

This was happening at the same time Amber was with Mark.

“The hell!” Derek said surprised.

“What happened?” Cheryl asked.

“Nothing…” Derek texted back – what the fuck are you talking about? – and then focused on the ladies. “Mark’s being an ass.”

“So…” Emma tried to speak.

“…the usual!” Derek said smiling.

“So everything is ready?” Cheryl asked.

“Of course, don’t you see his face?” Emma smiled at him. “He was smiling all the way here!”

“Can a man be happy?” Derek asked.

“Some can…” Cheryl said.

“Other not so much!” Emma concluded.

“So and in which side am I?” Derek asked.

“Depends…” Cheryl said.

“On what?” Derek asked.  

“Amber…” Emma said. “You know that every woman has a lot of power…”

“And let’s not talk about the fact that Amber has you wrapped around her finger.” Cheryl said. “And as women we know what that means.”

“Which is?” Derek asked again.

“Don’t ask her to marry you neither dare to talk about kids…” Cheryl said.

“Kids?” Derek was surprised.

“Yes…” Emma said. “Usually man in your state do stupid stuff like asking us to marry you without having an idea of the future or talk about having kids like they’re not that important to be really planned.”

“I know what I’m doing…” Derek said.  

“First talk about the future, make sure she can make feel secure about your future together…” Cheryl said. “Then the door is open to talk about marriage and then kids.”

Derek laughed because that order would not work for them anymore but he could not avoid smiling. He checked his phone again.

“Me and Amber have everything under control, don’t worry!” Derek said.

“Without talking the fact that you travel a lot, which means you’ll spend a lot of time separated!” Emma said. “And it’s hard, it affect a relationship no matter how strong your relationship is…”

“I appreciate your warnings!” Derek said smiling.

Derek kept listening to their advice while walking in the fort with his phone in his hand.

“YOU SUPPOSED TO DO SOMETHING!” Derek yelled to the phone.

“He’s gone…” Cheryl said looking at Emma.

“You should have left your phone at home.” Emma said.

Derek started answering so nervous that he didn’t pay attention to the looks Emma and Cheryl were sharing.

VALENTINE’S DAY AFTERNOON:

Dianna was helping Amber to choose a dress for the dinner she was hosting to celebrate love.

“Why do you want to have us for dinner?” Amber asked. “You should have dinner with him alone!”

“Hey I want to celebrate the love with him and my friends…” Dianna said. “Stop complaining, you’re going and you’ll look amazing…”

Dianna picked another dress for Amber and forced her to try it.

“Even Chris is going and you know how he is with his personal time with Will.” Dianna said.

“I was planning to have a calm night today…” Amber said. “Skyping Derek…”

“How is he?” Dianna asked.

“He’s fine but I can see that all the back and forth is making him more tired than usual and I can see that.” Amber said. “He just pretends that everything is normal even knowing that I know he’s lying!”  

“He probably does not want to worry you!” Dianna said.

“But I even get worse with him lying!” Amber said.

“Have you told him that?” Dianna asked.  

“Isn’t he supposed to know that already?” Amber asked.

“He’s a man and like all the others he will always think that the best way to protect you is not telling what’s happening…” Dianna said. “You can look at every couples and they all act the same!”

“I miss him so much…” Amber confessed.

“I know sweetie…” Dianna said.

Amber got out of the closed in the beautiful dress picked by Dianna.

“Well you don’t need to look anymore…” Dianna got up and smiled. “This is perfect.”

“You think?” Amber was having serious problems using that dress… “He gave me this dress I was planning on using it in a date with him…”

“I understand but he’s not here!” Dianna said. “This dress deserves to be freed.”

“I should talk to him about it…” Amber said.

“It’s just a dress…” Dianna said.  

“Fine…” Amber said.

Amber went to the mirror while Dianna took a few pictures of her while she was posing in the mirror.

VALENTINE’S DINNER:

Amber arrives to the restaurant and right after she got in, she saw Dianna a Chris laughing.

“I want to laugh too…” Amber said before sitting next to Chris. “Why is this so empty?”

“This is a small space so I had to make a reservation of the whole restaurant!” Dianna said.

“You didn’t need to do that!” Amber said.

“Maybe she want have sex in a restaurant…” Chris said. “I recommend, It is out of this world…”

Amber was shocked with Chris but in other way was happy for her friend.

“So, why inviting us to be here?” Amber asked. “There is some things I don’t need to see!”

“Me neither…” Chris said.

“Stop you two.” Dianna said. “Besides, the special guest just arrived”

Amber turned around and saw Derek in a silver tuxedo with a bouquet of red roses.

“I didn’t get late did I?” Derek asks.

Amber did not move yet all she could do was staring the man in front of her.

“No, you’re just in time for us to leave…” Dianna said. “Chris let’s go….”

“What?” Amber was shocked.

“Sweetie, we have our dinners to attend to…” Dianna smiled. “Happy Valentine’s Day!”

Dianna went near Derek and hugged him and Chris did the same.

“Now make sure he’s very tired at the end of the night!” Chris said.

Dianna and Chris kissed Amber goodbye and left them both alone, Amber was processing everything.

“This was your idea?” Amber asked.

“Yes, I couldn’t miss our first valentine’s day and your birthday!” Derek said walking towards her.  

“When do you have to go?” Amber said surprised and hiding her tears.

“At noon in the 16th…” Derek said.

“I missed you so much!” Amber said finally running to his arms.

“I missed you too baby!” Derek said kissing her forehead.

Amber kissed him deeply.

“Ready for our night?” Derek asked.

AMBER’S THOUGHTS:

“It’s good to have him back.“

PREVIOUSLY:

Derek was complaining to himself about something. Suddenly, Mark arrived...

“Finally…” Derek said…

“You warned me an hour ago, I did the best I can…” Mark said. “So, tell me, why do you want me here?”

“You’re going to help me pick an engagement ring for Amber.” Derek said smiling.

“What?” Mark was surprised.

“You heard me…” Derek said. “I’m going to propose to Amber…”

STORE IN A SHOPPING MALL (CONTINUATION):

Mark did not know what to say since the last time they talked Derek was pissed with Chord for kissing Amber and now, here he was saying that he was going to propose. It is not as if he does not want to see them together but this is rushing things.

“What changed?” Mark asked.

“I’m not getting it…” Derek said.

“You arrived a few days ago to talk to her and now you’re telling me you’re going to propose to her…” Mark insisted.

“Don’t act like it’s the first time you hearing me say this to you.” Derek said. “I said I was going to propose, I want to have a ring…”

“We talked about this before…” Mark said.

“I’m not going to propose tomorrow, I just want to be ready when the moment comes.” Derek said.

“Do you know why Chord was kissing her?” Mark asked.

“I know why and I already handled him!” Derek said. “His mask fall again and this time all of their friends were there to watch.”

“Really?” Mark was surprised.

“Why are you so surprised?” Derek asked.

“Well…” Mark smiled. “… I thought you would punch him at least once!”

“I did that but I also had to thank him for saving my life…” Derek confessed.

“Because of the plane crash?” Mark asked.

“If he didn’t send me that picture I probably would be in that plane.” Derek said.

“I would say that your jealous ass saved you…” Mark said.

“I’m not jealous!” Derek said.

“You are, just the thought that Amber is kissing another man drives you crazy, now you saw a picture of it and broke your own phone!” Mark said. “Do you see the pattern?”

“You know what, I regret inviting you today…” Derek said leaving Mark alone laughing.

“I’m already here so…” Marks followed Derek. “Just in case you decide to break something!”

“I’ll break your face if you don’t stop already…” Derek said.

Mark kept teasing Derek while they were searching for a jewelry store in the mall so Derek could see some rings for Amber.

AMBER’S HOUSE:

She was smiling trying to figure it out how she has been so lucky to have someone like Derek in the life and his reaction to the news that she was pregnant only made her love him even more.

“Earth calls Amber…” Ashley said.

Amber looked at her sister and saw her smiling at her.

“He’s back and you couldn’t be happier…” Ashley said.

“He’s going to leave in a few days again…” Amber said. “Derek has some shows to do.”

“And your birthday?” Ashley asked.

“I don’t think he will be able to be here…” Amber did not want to show how sad the news left her. “But he says that he will compensate me”

Ashley smiled seeing how sad she was that he would not be here but at least her family was going to be with her.

“Hey…” Ashley called. “We’re going to have a blast for your birthday!”

“I know….” Amber said.

“So, tell me why he came running back to you…” Ashley asked.

“He didn’t came back running!” Amber said surprised.

“No, you guys lasted two months separated?” Ashley asked.

“Kind of…” Amber said.

“Without counting that the time you didn’t get out of the house…” Ashley insisted.

“I did get out…” Amber said. “I have been working and you know it!”

“I know but you have been avoiding us and we’re your family.” Ashley said.

“Listen, I had to think about some things and to be able to do that I needed some time alone…” Amber said.

“Why did you two broke up?” Ashley asked.

“Because we thought it was better being away from each other!” Amber said. “Everything that was happening and the fact that we barely would see each other made us make that decision.”

“Now what?” Ashley asked. “You two realized that can’t live without each other.”

“Yes, I love him so much.” Amber said. “This idea was stupid…”

They started to ear the door’s lock being open and when they turn around, they saw Derek coming in with a few bags, which made Amber ask what made him buy so many things.

“Help…” Derek said. “I need some help…”

Ashley was the first person to arrive and help him with his bags while Amber did not move at all.

“Put it on the couch…” Derek said to Ashley.

After he was with his hands free he gave a hug to Amber’s sister and saw Amber looking at him and he knew she was wondering why did he bought so many things.

“I’ll be right back…” Derek went outside again and came with Romie that went to jump on Amber right after he got in the house.

Amber started smiling and hugging Derek’s dog and Ashley ended up doing the same, which gave Derek enough time to hide every bag in their bedroom.

As soon as he got back Amber was already expecting him, while Ashley was giving Romie some food in the kitchen.

“How was Mark?” Amber asked.

“He’s good…” Derek smiled and kissed her.

“Why did you get all those things?” Amber said. “You know it’s too soon to buy clothes for the baby…”

“I didn’t bought anything for the baby…” Derek said.

Ashley came back to the living room, which made Romie jump on Amber again.

“Can you stop jumping to my woman…” Derek started to play with him to make Romie focus on him instead of Amber.

“So, it’s good to see that he didn’t change at all…” Ashley said.

“I thinks he is even more crazy than we was before!” Amber said smiling.

“Maybe I should leave you two alone…” Ashley said. “Don’t forget to call mom, she was worried with you…”

“I will, don’t worry!” Amber said.

Amber went with her sister to the door and watched her leave the house, when she closed the door she could not stop looking at Derek.

“Did you tell Mark?” Amber asked.

“No…” Derek said looking at her. “I can keep a secret…”

“Babe…” Amber hugged his waist. “We both know you can’t keep a secret from me or Mark”

“I’m feeling so offended now…” Derek said.

“Your eyebrow didn’t told anything?” Amber asked.

“My eyebrow would only tell him something if he asked me directly if you were pregnant…” Derek said. “He doesn’t have reasons to ask that…”

“Fine…” Amber said.

“Besides he doesn’t want to think that I have sex…” Derek said. “It’s creepy…”

“Der….” Amber smiled. “Let’s not talk about Mark’s sex life I need to be able to look at him without thinking of all the expressions you would use to describe it!”

“It must be like a goose…” Derek tried to avoid a laugh but he was not successful which made Amber laugh too.

AFTER 2 HOURS:

Amber was cleaning the couch because they were there watching a movie together and they ate a lot of popcorn and Derek decided to left popcorn in every corner of the couch.

“You should be the one cleaning this…” Amber said,

Derek started to arrive with the bags so he could show what he did while he was at the mall with Mark.

“I know but now it’s time for the surprise…” Derek said smiling appointing to the bags. “Can you sit down?”

Amber sat, she almost forgot about the bags and now she wanted to know what was inside.

“Since we were not able to spend Christmas together I decided that now was the right moment to pretend that is Christmas…” Derek said.

“But we exchanged gifts, you didn’t like my onesie?” Amber asked worried.

“I loved it…” Derek said.

“So I don’t understand…” Amber said.

“I want to give you more stuff, it was our first Christmas together…” Derek said.

Amber saw him pick a bag and opening it… She could not believe in what she was seeing, it was a picture of her at her concert.

“How did you…” Amber was so emotional.

“You really thought that I wouldn’t be present at your concert?” Derek said. “Using Henry to replace made me feel sick!”

“Henry is a good person…” Amber said.

“I know he is…” Derek said. “I was sick because I wasn’t able to be on that stage with you, that was ripping my heart out…”

Amber could see that he was very uncomfortable about missing that opportunity.

“You can dance with me now and forever…” Amber said.

Amber grabbed his waist and started moving with him.

“There’s a music called like that…” Derek was trying to remember. “I forgot the name…”

Amber grabbed her phone and played the music “Forever and For Always” of Shania Twain, as soon as the song started Derek hide his face in Amber’s neck.

Derek looked Amber in the eyes.

Derek saw Amber picking her phone again and then she came back to him.

They spent about 15 minutes just moving around enjoying each other’s presence and most importantly, they were in their bubble again where no one was able to get in and hurt their relationship.

“I still have more presents for you…” Derek said.

“The only thing I need is you…” Amber said.

“How was your day…” Derek asked.

“I’ll have to go to New York to shoot some scenes from Glee so I guess you’re not the only one with a busy schedule…” Amber said.

“Is It safe?” Derek asked worried.

“Don’t worry…” Amber looked into his eyes. “You need to trust me on this…”

Derek smiled and kissed her forehead before continuing the give Amber a few more presents.

“I have two more gifts for you…” Derek said. “The rest is for me, Romie and a few of them is for my nieces!”

“You decided to become Santa?” Amber asked.

“I bought you a dress…” Derek said taking it out of the bag. “I truly believe that will look gorgeous on you.”

Amber looked very distrustful, she knew he was up to something but she would have to investigate a little more.

Derek knew why he picked that dress but he couldn’t tell what he has planned for his, it’s going to be a surprise.

“Also I bought us a tablet…” Derek gave Amber a box.

“Why did you spent money on tablets?” Amber asked.

“I don’t want to talk to you by phone I want to skype you and see your face!” Derek said smiling.

“I don’t have a skype account…” Amber said.

“You can create one or we can use facebook…” Derek said. “Don’t even try to deny it, we both know that you want this more than me.”

“Fine” Amber said.

“Also bought a new phone.” Derek said showing it to her.

Amber knew that he was right about the tablet so she decided it was time for her to give it an opportunity, she started laughing when she saw him put some clothes on Romie and he just stayed there looking at him like it was something normal.

After a few minutes, Romie was running with a brand new jacket, which made everyone laugh.

“When I’m going to see you again?”  Amber asked hugging Derek from the back.

“In your next appointment…” Derek said. “You know I would love to stay here but I have compromises.”

“I know…” Amber said.

Derek knew why she asked so he picked her up and started walking to their bedroom.

“PUT ME DOWN…” Amber yelled. “YOU’RE GOING TO HURT YOUR BACK!”

Derek simply did not care, he knew what he was doing so as soon as they get to their bedroom, Amber was shocked with what she found.

Their bed was full of rose petals and when Derek put her down, she followed it to the bathroom and smiled.

“Your bath will be ready in a minute then you’re going to receive a massage…” Derek whispered in her ear.

“Are you going to join me?” Amber asked.

“Do you want me to?” Derek asked.

“What do you think?” Amber turned around and started to undress him.

They both enjoyed their night together before both of them had to go travel.

AMBER’S THOUGHTS:

“I just can’t beleive this...“

OUTSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:

Everyone in glee was starting to get worried with her, she didn’t answer them, no one was in the mood to record anything because of Amber.

“Amber, get the damn door, we’re worried…” Chris yelled hitting the door again.

“We need to open this door, something might have happened to her.” Dianna said.

“Someone must have a key to open this door.” Kevin said.

“We can kick the door…” Chord said.

IN THE GLEE PARKING LOT:

Derek was in his car, ready to make a surprise to Amber, he got a bouquet of red roses to give her.

The moment he arrived at the glee studios he saw that a lot of people gathered around some trailer, but he never thought it was Amber's.

The first thing he thought when he saw the picture that Chord sent, he couldn’t wait to be with Amber and kick Chord's ass, so, he got the night flight instead of waiting for his, in the next morning.

OUTSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:

Derek was going to Amber’s trailer and realized that all the people he saw were at her door.

He saw Chris and Dianna at the door with everyone around them, he went near Lea.

“What’s happening?” Derek asked.

Lea was surprised to find him there.

“Amber locked herself in her trailer.” Lea said. “She’s not answering to us.”

“What?” Derek started to freak out.

When he tried to get to Amber’s door he had to face Chord.

“What are you doing here?” Chord asked.

Everyone started looking at them knowing that they might start fighting at any second.

“Get out of my way before I kick your ass.” Derek threatened him.

“You shouldn’t be allowed to get in…” Chord said.

He didn’t have time to say anything more because Derek punched him and went to check if Amber was ok.

“Guys can you give me a moment?” Derek asked Dianna and Chris.

“You better get her out of there…” Chris said.

“I’ll do my best.” Derek said.

“Thank god you’re here.” Dianna said hugging him.

Derek waited for everyone to give him some space, so he could talk to her.

“Ber Ber?” Derek called. “Are you ok? Open the door I have a surprise for you…” He was so nervous. “I miss you…”

INSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:

Amber was on the floor and realized that something was wrong because they all started to tell Chord to stop doing something but then she heard something that she desired the most, Derek’s voice.

She got up the moment he said that he missed her, she was crying even more, she went running to the door and when she opened it there he was, Derek with a bouquet in his hands. The only thing she did was running to his arms, making her realizing that he was alive, the fears she had were mitigated when he started whispering in her ear how much he missed her and loved her.

OUTSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:

Everyone was surprised that they were still that close, Amber started hitting him because she was so relief that he was alive. They broke up, but every single person knew that they still love each other and the story Amber has been telling was not very convincing.

“See, we only needed Derek to appear…” Chris said relieved.

“At least she’s alive…” Dianna said smiling. “Maybe now they can get back together.”

“They won’t…” Chord said with hate in his eyes. “Me and Amber kissed each other yesterday…”

No one knew what to believe but he seemed to be serious.

“That’s right people, he got too late!” Chord said with a grin in his face.

While they were discussing if what chord was saying was true, Derek and Amber, were enjoying each other’s arms.

“Babe, you’re trying to break some of my bones?” Derek asked laughing.

“Sorry…” Amber said smiling.

“So what happened?” Derek asked worried.

“I don’t want to talk about it” Amber noticed that Derek wasn’t very convinced. “For now…”

“Fine, now can you explain me something, how the hell were you kissing Chord?” Derek asked.

“How did you…” Amber didn’t understand how he knew that. “He kissed me, I was caught by surprise.”

“Ok.” Derek said trying to leave Amber. “Give me just one minute.”

Derek went near the rest of people that’s when he heard him brag about kissing Amber what made him even more angry, so he punched him again and no one put themselves in front of him except Amber.

“Derek!” Amber yelled. “Stop! What’s wrong with you?”

“You want to know how I found out about the kiss?” Derek said. “Ask that son of a bitch how he got my number!”

Amber was in shock.

“He sent me a picture of you two kissing and I knew it was true because I talked to Dianna and she told me what were you wearing…” Derek in the last part looked embarrassed.

Derek passed through Amber to make another threat to Chord.

“Listen…” Derek didn’t yell but everyone that looked at him could see that he was very serious. “If you got near her again I’ll broke every bone of your body.”

“You’re talking a lot for someone that was dumped.” Chord said.

“You think I’m here because I miss to see your face?” Derek asked. “I’m here because me and Amber are together again.”

Nobody was expecting that, and Amber could see in Dianna’s face that she was not believing in any word he was saying.

“Derek stop…” Amber begged.

“He tried to put us against each other.” Derek said. “Don’t you see it.”

“I simply don’t care about him…” Amber said that before kissing Derek. “Now, didn't had the flight this morning?”

“Yes, but when I saw that picture I had to come here earlier.” Derek said.

Amber was so happy that everything happened that way but surprisingly she got near Chord and thanked him.

“Thank you for keeping Derek alive!” Amber hugged him.

“What… He didn’t keep me alive!” Derek said.

“Your plane crashed this morning, that was why I had to be alone, I just couldn’t believe you were dead!” Amber admitted.

“What?” Derek was confused.

“I checked the information, it was your flight!” Amber says crying. “That photo saved you.”

Derek hugged Amber one more time, no everyone knew what happened, but Dianna was the only one who could really understand her and why she reacted that way.

“Does anyone from Dancing with the Stars was on that flight?” Amber asked.

“No, it was supposed to be only me.” Derek said.

“He saved you…” Amber said.

“I won’t be thanking him, I punched him twice today.” Derek said.

“Der, I know you’re an amazing man.” Amber said smiling.

Derek knew what she meant, he couldn’t believe that he was going to thank Chord for sending that picture, even thought it was to make him jealous.

“Thanks man!” Derek said. “But the threat is still valid…”

Amber laughed so hard, that was the Derek she knew.

“If you pull something like that again…” Derek was interrupted.

“I’ll cut his balls!” Chris said upset.

Derek looked at Chris with a new light, he knew that Chris wanted Amber to be happy and they were together about the subject of Chord.

“Chris!” Lea said surprised and started laughing.

“What?” Chris asked. “He knows I can do it besides Derek is too much gorgeous to be without his balls…”

“Chris!” Amber reprehended him.

“But if you hurt her again, believe me, it applies to you too.” Chris said to Derek.

“Leave them alone…” Derek said protecting himself. “Before that I was about to kiss you but now…”

Chris started getting red with the thought of Derek kissing him.

“You have a boyfriend…” Dianna said to Chris and then turned to Derek. “He’s thinking French kisses with a lot of sheets between you two right now.”

Derek laughed, and everyone laughed right after.

“Let the lovebirds be alone for a second.” Dianna said.

Amber and Derek got alone and went to her trailer, in the way Amber found the bouquet of roses that Derek brought.

“Yours?” Amber asked.

“To you” Derek answered. “They were prettier before I had to handle Chord.”

“Forget about him.” Amber said.

INSIDE AMBER’S TRAILER:

Amber was finally alone with Derek, she knew she had to tell him about her pregnancy, but she knew they needed to talk about some things first.

“What you said outside…” Amber was trying to ask without making a real question.

“Its true!” Derek said. “I don’t care I’ll kick his behind if necessary.”

“Not that part…” Amber sat on the couch.

“Oh…” Derek finally understand what she wanted to say. “Well you’re not getting rid of me that fast.”

Amber smiled looking at him.

“I already had enough alone time for the rest of my life and don’t you dare to push me away because I won’t be able to do it.” Derek continued. “I missed you too much!”

“You found her.” Amber said. “The girl behind the attacks.”

“Yes.” Derek answered. “That’s handled.”

“You sound like Olivia Pope.” Amber said.

“Who?” Derek was confused.

“Scandal, I’ll show you tonight.” Amber said. “By the way, I missed you too.”

Derek smiled.

“Dianna noticed…” Amber said watching Derek sat next to her while she laid down and rested her head on his legs.

“What are you talking about?” Derek asked.

“That we didn’t broke up.” Amber said. “I could see it in her face when you said that we were together again.”

“We can talk to her about it…” Derek said. “Just to make sure she understands why we had to lie.”

“I was so scared… the thought that you were dead was killing me…” Amber said looking at him.

“But I’m alive…” Derek said.

“Where did you put your phone?” Amber asked.

“I broke it when I threw him against the wall after seeing that picture, then it was completely gone before I landed.” Derek said.

“Did you warn your family that you were ok?” Amber asked.

“Shit!!” Derek started to panic. “My family is going to have a heart attack.”

Derek took his phone, but it didn’t work and what made it worse was that he cut himself trying to turn it on, Amber had to borrow him her phone, so he could tranquilize his family.

Amber was so happy that he was there, she was just looking at him walking back and forward during his calls, it made her relax, he was there with her again, God gave her one more opportunity for happiness.

Derek finally finished his calls and now he could have all his time for Amber.

“Babe when can we leave?” Derek asked.

“I don’t know, I have things to do if I wasn’t fired for having a panic attack…” Amber said hugging him.

“So, the day will be long!” Derek said bored.

“Why don’t you go to my place, take a shower and rest…” Amber suggested. “Then when I get home, I’ll make us dinner.”

“Fine, a shower would be great…” Derek said. “But I don’t want to sleep maybe I’ll watch that sandal thing you told me…”

Amber started laughing so hard.

“Sandal?” Amber kept laughing. “Scandal…”

“That…” Derek smiled. “Now give me a kiss before I go…”

Amber kissed him deeply, they were finally together again.

AMBER’S HOUSE:

Amber was finishing cooking their dinner and was getting ready to call Derek, when she got home, she found him sleeping in the couch with the last episode of the first season of scandal and she left him rest for a little.

Amber was about to go call him when he appeared in his pajamas with a mess of hair which she loved.

“Why didn’t you wake me up?” Derek asked before kissing her.

“You needed to rest!” Amber answered.

“I need to re-watch the last episode…” Derek said.

“I saw that you were able to find it.” Amber smiled remembering his text.

“Well, sometimes we just need to check things first…” Derek said smiling.

“I know…” Amber smiled. “Sit, we’re going to eat now and then I can watch the episode with you…”

“In bed?” Derek was very happy.

“We will see it in the couch and then we go to bed, I don’t want to fall asleep…” Amber said.

“You know I wouldn’t take advantage of the situation.” Derek said.

“In the couch you wouldn’t but in bed…” Amber said.

They had their dinner where they talked about the moments that they were apart, what they missed most about each other, and about their future before going to see the scandal episode.

At the end of the episode Amber knew she had to tell him about the pregnancy before going to bed.

“Derek, I have something to tell you.” Amber said.

“Your voice is already telling me that’s important.” Derek focused in Amber’s eyes.

“Because I don’t know how to say it and how you will react…” Amber was nervous.

“Just go for it…” Derek said. “You’re starting to get me worried.”

“Ok…” Amber looked at their hands together before saying anything and then look him in the eyes. “You’re going to be a dad!”

Derek was in shock with the news and Amber didn’t know what to say except.

“I’m pregnant!” Amber whispered to him.

27. Dead (Part 1) || One Day At A Time

DEREK’S THOUGHTS:

“I need to get back to her, make her believe that we belong together”

DURING THE FOLLOWING DAY (PREVIOUSLY): Amber was crying like never seen before, she was in her trailer trying to call Derek… “Derek can’t be dead…” Amber whispered. “He can’t be dead…” Amber fell in the floor crying. BEFORE THAT MOMENT IN GLEE: Amber was getting ready to record another scene for the 100th episode of Glee and she was so happy that they got so far on that journey and finally they were all together except for Cory. “I can’t believe that we’re here celebrating this…” Chris said. “Me neither…” Amber said. “Did you imagine where we were a few years ago?” Chris asked. “I do but compared to everything that happened since we start this I wouldn’t change a thing.” Amber said. Amber was so focused about the scene that they were about to rehearse but in the television, they had behind the scenes, she saw that happened a plane crash and she went near it to hear everything that was being said, Chris followed noticing the same thing as her. She didn’t know what to say, another tragedy with a plane. Everyone gathered around them to see what’s happened and one thing bothered Amber, the plane came from Wilmington and Amber needed to make sure that the plane they were talking about wasn’t Derek’s. She ran to her phone and in that moment, she saw that Derek tried to call her but it was a long time ago, then she tried to call him but his phone was turned off. Amber run through all the messages she had from Derek trying to find the information about his plane and when she found it she was comparing it with the information giving by the news. After a few moments, she checked all the information from his plane, like ten times and her fears came true, Derek was in that plane and the fact they said that probably would have no survivors found, made everything worse. Amber started imagining her life with a child without Derek there to help her and she was about to collapse so she started running to her trailer, what made Dianna and Chris very worried. “Amber?” Dianna asked worried. Chris went right after Dianna, who was chasing Amber and then everyone got worried about what was happening. Amber locked herself in her trailer leaving everyone worried in the outside. OUTSIDE’S AMBER TRAILER: Chris was so worried that he started knocking in her door along with Dianna, they got no answer. “Amber?” Chris called worried. “Are you feeling good?” Dianna insisted a little more. “Amber, please, we’re worried.” Dianna said. Amber knew she had to say something or they would force their way in and the last thing she needed to do is to explain that Derek might be dead. “We were watching the news of a plane crash!” Chris said. “Really? From where?” Dianna asked. “Wilmington…” Chris said. “Oh No!” Dianna was shocked. Dianna looked at everyone that was with them in front of Amber’s trailer realizing what her reaction might represent. AMBER’S TRAILER: Amber was on the floor checking pictures of Derek in her phone crying and suddenly she found an old picture of them, she started remembering that day.                                                   FLAHSBACK Amber got into the house and she noticed that it was too quiet. When she went to her bedroom, she found Derek petting her face in a picture, she knew he loved her and that he would never cheat on her but the fact that he allowed Nina to hug him like nothing had happened were the real reason she was mad with him. Derek heard a noise and he saw Amber on the entrance. "Don't worry, I will leave now." Derek said avoiding looking at her. Amber stopped him, she put an arm around his waist. "We need to talk." Amber said. Derek's heart clenched with that phrase, he knew that when a woman says something like that, it’s usually bad news. Amber led him to their bed and made him sit but what Derek didn’t expect was that she would sit on his lap. "I don't like to see you this way." Amber said. Derek couldn't say anything except hugging her, what made Amber get even more worried, Derek always had something to say and here he was speechless. "Baby..." Amber whispered but he snuggled his head in her neck and before she could say something else she noticed that her neck was getting wet and Derek was shaking. "Don't cry baby!" Amber wasn't ready for this, Derek was always so happy and now he was crying, she didn't know what to do or say so she just held him.                                                             ***** When Derek got served he paid and when he turned around to get back to Amber, but Nina appeared. "Hey, gorgeous" Nina said. "What the..." Derek got scared, he didn't expect see her there, it seemed like she was waiting for him. "I've been thinking about what you said yesterday..." Nina was trying to get near him. "I can't agree with you, I know you want to be with me too"                                                     FLASHBACK She couldn’t stop crying because that day made them more connected than ever, even if it was probably one of the most if not the most challenging moment of their relationship. She tried to remember the moment they took that picture.                                                     FLASHBACK IN THE PARK: Derek was nervous because he couldn’t believe their luck, in the few times they get out and specially today they had to face Nina again, but Amber was trying to show him that she trusted him. “I love this flavor!” Amber said happy. “Me too.” Derek smiled. “Cookies will mix well with you…” Amber said. “What?” Derek said surprised. “I’m thinking about put you two together, cookies and Der Der…” Amber laughed at Derek’s face. “… it would be something out of this world.” Amber wanted to mark this moment for eternity. “Babe, let’s take a picture near those trees…” Amber said. “Are you sure?” Derek said pointing to the place Amber said. “Don’t you have a lot of pictures of trees and plants already?” “Don’t be silly…” Amber laughed. “A picture of you and me, having the trees as a background.” “A photoshoot?” Derek asked. “Just us being a normal couple.” Amber said. “In that case we can take a lot of pictures” Derek kissed her lips. They got near the trees and she took her phone and started taking pictures of Derek being goofy. “Babe, stop, you might fall.” Amber said. Derek was trying to get himself on top of one tree. “I know what I’m doing…” Derek said. “Get ready to smile, I’m going to take a picture” Amber smiled when saw him pick his phone a pointing at her. “Big smile, baby…” Derek said. He took a lot of pictures of her before going down to be next to her. “Now It’s my turn…” Amber said pointing her phone at him. After having a little fun together, they took a few pictures together. “Promise that we will be together forever…” Derek asked. “I promise but you have to promise too….” Amber said. “Are we making vows today?” Derek asked. “Maybe but these are only ours.” Amber said kissing him. “I promise…” Derek smiled. “Let’s go home, I need to rest.” Amber said. “Fine…” Derek smiled before starting to sing in Amber’s ear while they were walking. PLANE IN WILMINGTON INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT: Derek was looking at a photo of Amber, the one he took from the top of a tree, she was smiling so naturally. Derek put his phone pieces together, he needed to buy a new one because the screen was broken, some things still were falling out. He knew that she was his, the photo Chord sent him was making him very nervous without knowing what was really happening. When he landed in LA the first thing he had to do is going to talk to Amber and make her believe that they belong together.                                                      FLASHBACK Amber kept hearing voices from the outside but she could take her eyes from the photos she took that day, where she thought it was their beginning but now everything is over. Their baby will never meet his dad. Their love is over.
