I’d be a whole lot richer if I wasn’t always spending little bits here and there. I’m a sucker for hammers with unusual lines, so when I saw this little lass for sale on the internet, I had to jump on it.  There’s no maker’s mark and no way to determine the age or origin, but I will just let my imagination run wild and concoct some amazing tale.  Who knows, maybe she helped build the Eiffel Tower? Hammers are wonderful things and I can’t seem to have too many. This one will definitely get a place of honor on the rack!

One of my favorite people on the ball of space mud just turned 40. To mark the occasion, @faramforge made this amazing 4.25lb rounding hammer. It is perfect! I am not gonna lie, it is hard to part with this one, but both the birthday boy and the occasion deserve this. The 4.5lb cross peen on the right just wasn't cutting it as a general purpose hammer to learn #blacksmithing with, so I picked up this nice little 2lb rounding hammer at Yoders Blacksmith and Farrier Supply in Fredericksburg this morning. #hammer #roundinghammer
