Thanks to an overhaul of bus routes that including switching the 16 to a “neighborhood” style bus (now the 816) that goes to Emory, I have now switched my commute to one that’s about 30 minutes shorter a day. I actually took the 16 to work for years but before I only took it one way and walked 2/3 mi. up hill in all weather to reach my office, and it was very inconvenient to ride it back. Now I can basically leave home or work a couple minutes before it leaves and the stop is right there. Door to door! And I can still take the 6/train route if I need or want to, like if I’m going somewhere like Midtown after work. This is so exciting! Pictures here show the starting and ending points of my trips today.

नई दिल्ली:Indian Railways ने कोरोना काल के सामान्य होने के बाद ट्रेनों के नियमित संचालन शुरू करने की तैयारी कर दी है. इसके तहत कई महत्वपूर्ण ट्रेनों के Time Table में बदलाव के साथ ही रूट भी चेंज किया जाएगा. ऐसी करीब 50 ट्रेनों की लिस्ट तैयार है. All City Buses Take Woman To Her Old High School

[LEXINGTON KY] A Lexington woman, Laura Clarkson, attempted her commute to work this morning but, instead, arrived at her old high school. 

Ms. Clarkson boarded the 36 North bus at 7:25am.  After boarding her bus it deviated from its typical route. 

“I thought it was probably just been a route change for construction or something like that.”  Ms. Clarkson told reporters. 

She realized that something was wrong when the bus arrived at her old high school and the driver announced that it was the end of the line. 

Ms. Clarkson exited the bus and boarded another, the 19 East.  After sitting down she noticed that the exact same people on her previous bus appeared to already be on her new bus and they were sitting in the exact same seats as they had been on the previous bus.

“This doesn’t seem right.  I’m starting to feel really uncomfortable.”  She told reporters.   

Her new bus deviated from its typical route as well, making a short loop around the school before returning to the school’s parking lot, where it came to a stop.

Reporters say that Ms. Clarkson appeared visibly distressed.  “I don’t know why they want me to go back to my high school.” She explained to reporters. 

Through the bus windows reporters observed that students had begun to stream into the school.

She attempted several other buses, each one making a similar loop before returning to her old high school.  As before, on each new bus, the same passengers were already seated in the same places they had been on her original bus. 

“Something’s really not right.  I don’t even care about getting to work on time, I just want to get away from this school.”  She said.

As she spoke reporters noted that many students had begun crowding around her bus, staring inquisitively, with expressions bordering on hostility, through the windows.

Our first big detour of the trip came when we decided to turn lemons (our Portland friends being on vacation) into lemonade (Seeing Crater Lake!)
