He loved all life but a pet was never something he could indulge in ; travel was too touch on his own human hands, and Ginko hated the idea of putting a hound through such hell. A stray cat cheek was scratched here and there, and a dog was slipped any scraps he could spare. Still, he gave off a look of surprise when a bark bounced off the back of the mountain, and the mushi-shi swung his body south. It was a strange sight to see small dogs along the swamp bed with a small woman chasing after them, their paws sinking into the muddy soil,
setting their pace in Ginko's direction.
