was going to make chicken for lunch but it spoiled in the fridge overnight :( ill have to pick some more up tomorrow. looks like it's microwaved mac n cheese for me
have the day off today. motts and i are curled up on the couch, the sun is still in the sky and warms us both. motts is stretched out for belly scratches and kisses. its a good day. im grateful for winter ending, nightshifts during the winter feel like being on another planet entirely. thankfully my shift isn't a ghost crew.
no update yet on when maitnence is coming to fix the leak in the kitchen, just sometime this week is what the note said. honestly, the pitter patter sound of dripping into the bucket has become a sort of comfort sound at this point, so im not complaining too much.
if anyone has any good recommendations for shows to binge i'm all ears. new series of handmaids tale isnt out for like, another month.
kevin finally delivered a pizza after we unlocked the doors, god its so fuckin good. im ready to pass out full shoes on the second i can. gotta feed motts when i get home though. delaney's vomiting in the bathroom or i would offer her some. jemma is comforting her. i took on that task yesterday's shift, and jemma owes me one for covering her shift last christmas.
kevin asked me how the night went.
it was a night. same as any other.
delaney is getting the buffet ready for breakfast, but thats not supposed to be done until like 4am. if i remember right, she just moved here a few months back. this is only her second week working here so i can't really blame her for wanting to stay busy when we lock the doors, it gets noisy. i'll probably just put some earbuds in and listen to music or watch something on hulu.
come to think of it i don't think a bookstore would go over well in this town.
i miss motts. technically his name is mozart. but i call him motts. he's probably curled up at home right now on the sofa. oh to one day own a bookstore, where motts could come to work with me daily. nothing's better than being on the clock with a cat in your lap.
