So, I only just learned about #smaugust today. I managed a pretty decent chunk of #inktober last year, and Google isn’t giving me much in the way of interesting ideas for the rest of the months, so I guess I’ll take matters into my own hands:
August: I think I’ll try Smaugust, now that I know it exists…
September: Shiptember, a spaceship, sailing ship or similar vehicle a day for 30 days
October: I think I’ll stick with Inktober
November: Rovember, 30 days of robots, drones, androids, etc.
December: Undeadcember, holiday cheer brought to you by ghosts, zombies, ambulatory skeletons and anything else that didn’t quite get the memo that it was dead.
January: Janventory, focusing on small props, the stuff your fantasy, sci-fi and whatnot characters just carry around with them; tools, weapons, mementos etc.
February: Feedruary, 28 days (29 in leap years) creating the food and drink of your various fictional alternate worlds, from Orcish Trail Rations to the preferred brand of stimulant-rich I.V. drip nutrition for your cyberpunk VR jockies.
March: Mapch, a map a day for 31 days, worlds, cities, solar systems, castles, dungeons, really nice tabletop game battlemaps
April: Aprealism, dedicated to still lifes, plein air, figure drawing, and just otherwise getting out and capturing the real world.
May: Environmay, waiting this long to give myself a dedicated environment challenge seems like a long time, but if I stick with it and do it once a year, eventually, that’ll build up pretty nicely, I suspect.
June: I just saw some mention of #Kaijune; I think I might go with that.
