Producing cars similar to the original Austin Healey 3000. Unfortunately due to a dispute between the Healey family and Jensen in 1989 over the ownership of the Healey trademark, the name was withdrawn. Despite this draw back the HMC had excellent reviews from magazines such as Motorsport and Performance Car as well as television programmes including Top Gear. The HMC sold well through a dealer network The company was forced to evolve so with Peter Holmes managing customer support for HMC Healeys, Graham and son Gresham were flown to Sao Paulo to help with the development a new Brazilian sports car called the Lobini. The Healey V8 is powered by a Rover V8 engine mated to a five speed gearbox and trimmed with leather and a wooden dashboard.
